Beyond Stable Farm — Local services in Crystal Lake

The stalls themselves are beautiful, heating is wonderful, the place has a nice place for spectators to sit. BUT Stalls are concrete which is terrible for the horses legs, the footing is basically a sand dirt mix which really is not good for jumping on and became extremely hard. The indoor itself is pretty small.And when addressing some of the concerns with staff/owner they were extremely rude. Northern Illinois has much more horse health in mind and friendlier facilities. Clean, nice stalls, nice warm up and arena areas. Judging can be questionable and not fair to riders who are more experienced completing the course with no penalties/mistakes. Beautiful barn, terrible staff running the facility. Had a horse show on the hottest day of the year and they refused to let us use the wash stall and cool off our horse. They barricaded the wash stall and didn't allow anyone in.

Staff was very uncoordinated as well. I will never come back to this...
