Cardell Floral & Flower Delivery — Local services in Crystal

I order a lot of flowers for personal and professional occasions and I always try to order from local florists rather than using the national websites and it usually works great - I get a better deal and the florist doesn't pay sky-high fees to the outside service. So, I ordered directly from Cardell for a funeral in Crystal, MN. I chose an arrangement on their website and checked the box indicating that substitutions were fine. (Since this was just a few days after Valentine's Day, I figured they might be low on stock and I wasn't too concerned about the specific flowers used.) I attended the funeral and my flowers were very disappointing. The flowers used were correct when compared to what I selected and seemed fresh, but they were not arranged. If you've ever bought a bouquet of flowers from the grocery store or farmers market and just plunked them in a vase without cutting/arranging them, that's exactly what this display looked like. All the flowers were the same length, very little greenery, nothing that made it look interesting at all. Compared to the other displays from other florists, mine looked very poor by comparison. I assumed maybe the $150 I spent was less than others spent, but then I spoke to my mom and found out she paid LESS than I did and got a much larger and prettier arrangement. I'm not disappointed in the amount of flowers I got (although it was small for the price), but I am disappointed in the presentation because it was completely underwhelming. Maybe if they weren't sitting next to other arrangements they wouldn't have looked so dismal, but they really were...

Ordered an arrangement for the day before Valentine's Day (Saturday) through an online site (Teleflora). I had to pay an additional fee for same day delivery. My order was not fulfilled day of. The following Wednesday, my order was still not fulfilled, so I called asking to cancel my order and receive a full refund. The owner called and apologized for the mistake and offered to upgrade my purchase, add a box of chocolates, and get it sent out that same day. The arrangement was sent out that day, but it was not upgraded and there was no box of chocolates. I appreciated the personal call from the owner, but my appreciation was short-lived considering the owner didn't fully follow through on their word. Long story short, I paid extra money for my arrangement to be sent out three days late. I will probably not be doing business with this company...

We walked into Cardells, the day after my Dad died. We were looking for ideas for my Dadf casket spray, standing sprays and a heart flower from the Grand Babies.

We were emotional basket cases and had no room for imagination. We were vague, but clearly had something in our minds that we couldn't articulate. We wanted something masculine, outdoorsy and still bright and cheerful.

The Cardell Team started pulling flowers and dried pieces asking us what we thought. They patiently and kindly took the time we needed and created absolutely stunning pieces! They incorporated multiple pieces, fishing lure, pumpkin & a wolf.
