Brickyard Meats- Butcher Shop & Custom Processing — Local services in Cullman

We've been to this shop in Cullman a couple of times now. In my opinion, this is the best local meat option by far. The prices are great and the quality is amazing. We've had the family packs of ground beef, Boston butts (both fully smoked and raw), bacon and chicken thighs. They have all been delicious, but the ground beef is what inspired me to write a review. We bought a family pack of ground beef, which is priced amazingly well at $2.79 and my husband cooked all 7 lbs of it this evening. There was so little fat and grease that cooked out that it hardly needed to even be drained. I had been buying 94%/10% ground beef at Walmart for over 2x the price (until recently) and the amount of added water and fat that cooked out of it was at least 20% of the full weight every single time. I am just so pleased with Brickyard, and will only be buying meat from them in the future as long as their quality and value...

Heard about this place from a North Alabama Agriplex Food and Farm Guide. Dad wanted some beef ribs for Fathers Day and so I stopped in and picked up a verity of meat products. I am a huge Beef Jerky fan and so had to buy some from Brickyard. I got some Meat sticks and Old Fashioned Beef Jerky. It was amazing!!! Both Dad and I loved it!! I think I have found a new place to get my Jerky from! I can not write a review at this time about the Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, Sausage, Polish sausage, or Ground Beef. I am sure it is going to be wonderful! I could have waited until after Fathers day and wrote the review on all of it. This place has the BEST meats in town by far. Tons of local meat as well. The meat that isn't local is r still raised with care and the taste and textures are always better than anything else around this area. Only thing is, they know it. Prices are a little high. But, you get what you pay for so it's not bad for the quality. Wish they had a better selection of meats that are nearing expiration so folks could get some deals but it is what it is. I'll still go back as I've done for years. Bottom line... You want the best meat you can find without raising it yourself then you need to buy from Brickyard! Period. Keep buying mystery meat with rocks in it and no taste from Walmart if you want. But buy meat from these folks once and you'll be blown away.
