I maybe counted 50 ppl max wearing a mask and it wasn't enforced either. It looked more like a super spreader event than anything. And you know most people aren't vaccinated. As a severely immune compromised person I was not impressed one bit and was very on edge about being there for as long as we stayed which was about 2.5hrs. Literally got a fried dough, ate it, walked around and hung out with the animals and then left. Very disappointed with the whole experience. I hope you all enjoy the nice night time picture of the tractor pulls with the ferris wheel in the background. If you're immune compromised do not go here, it's not safe one bit. We were standing quite far away from the tractor pull grand stands and the massive exhaust fumes still caused me to have a headache. Plus, of course, all the regular carnival food: fried dough, funnel cakes, candied apples, pizza, popcorn, Italian sausages, fries, etc.
We always go on the day when you can buy an unlimited ride bracelet for $25. That pays for itself with 4 adult rides or 5 kiddie rides. Then everyone can ride the thrilling rides to their heart's desire. (For 2023 that is Monday 9/25).
P.S. Fairgrounds Admission is $12 per person this year. Kids 12 and under are free. Many things (including admission and tickets) are still cash only. Free parking. So hit up the ATM and put on comfortable shoes...

This is double if your child is taller than 48" but not yet brave enough to ride the faster rides... There's basically nothing for them to do. Save your money and go to the Windsor Fair next year instead. Trust me, it's much more fun for families with kids that are taller than average for their age! (And the Windsor Fair has bumper cars. This fair never does.)
Old review: One of the larger fairs in the area, always a blast. Btw, the best cotton candy I've ever had is the maple cotton candy from the sugar shack near the farm museum in a quieter section of the fair. You can even watch them spin it. It's well...
