Just came from this business. The food is good ,according to my kids. I couldn't eat it considering the bizarre rude behavior a young woman that works at the deli section just gave me. My 8 year old son had finished his first ever baseball scrimmage and did very well. We decided with my wife, my eldest daughter, and my baseball player, to try out this , what seemed, an interesting place to celebrate. We ordered a few subs and waited. I politely asked a nice young man if they had a restroom. He was about to tell me where the restrooms were at the front of the store, but this young woman takes a good gander at me, took a look of disdain at me, then exclaims, " NO NO NO" . The young man looks at her as if ask her, really why? And she is adamant to refuse me the restroom. So, the polite young man says, sorry no restroom. My reaction was silence but i thought, woah, did I do something to you for such a reaction?! I'm 57 years old, looking scruffy, with a USMC hat [ by the way in the 1980s only 40 of us made it out of 894 guys at Paris Island, i served 4 yrs] with my family inside the store. Anyway, I walk back in the store and my kids asked, did you use the restroom? I deliberately answered in a somewhat obnoxious not too loud voice, Yeah, I had to p_ss on their wall out back. Lol. The 2 young guys there looked apologetic, but this girl at the deli doubles down and looks at me with another look of utter disdain and even manages a half smirk at me! 🤣🤣🤣🤔. And does this a couple of more times! Oh man, really? I confronted the young man and the cashier woman about the girl employee. The young man was professional and apologized for the girl's behavior, but hmm...the cashier was a bit haughty, and explained that some people had trashed the bathroom. So, I was thinking, Do I look like a trasher of bathrooms? Or is it my funny looking eyes? 🤔 🥸🤣🤣. I just told the woman, a guy like me could take this whole situation the wrong way, you know? I mean sheez, we just spent 60 bucks on your fast food there! As I walked out , I just exclaimed, SHAMEFUL behavior! Anyhow, it was some really rude cruddy behavior from that one female employee. 😒 This wasn't even our first time there for my wife and kids! Good grief! My first and last! Where's Senator Mike Wagner and his best pal Mr. Schminke my family's business customers...
Read moreGreat little hidden gem of a market with an surprisingly impressive deli that can rival any large market locally. It's unlikely you will feel your weekly shopping list here, but if you have ample freezer space and like a variety of unusual, hard-to-find items in bulk Rt 28 is awesome. I don't think I've ever stopped without finding at least something that I wanted or something that I hadn't had before that I wanted to try. Few weeks back I got a bag of Frozen breaded chicken breast chunk that bore a striking resemblance to chicken from a popular chain, and my family immediately recognize the image taste that came from a pickle brine marinade. I believe it was about $10 for roughly 3#. I could go on with dozens of similar examples. The staff is outstanding, as friendly as anywhere I've been. There are always outgoing helpful knowledgeable and make a great experience even better. It seems like somebody had an idea to start a niche market and took a swing. Thankfully, unlike so many other novel, original, (and frankly good) ideas this one was a home run and has only gotten better over time. Stop in, you may not find something specific you were looking for, but I guarantee you'll find something different that you haven't seen elsewhere, and for a...
Read moreVery friendly workers, and the manager went out of his way to let me get my tray at a time that worked for me, which was great.... but I paid $40 for a sub tray and didn't at all get what I ordered. I order 2 turkey subs, 1 Italian, and 1 club. Every single sub had ham on it and 1 had other meats (salami I think?). Somehow we ended up with 2 chunks that were different than the rest (but still had ham) which makes NO sense since each whole sub makes 4 chunks.... so I have no idea how that even happened. More than half of the people the tray was purchased for people who don't (CAN'T) eat ham products, so they were left with nothing to eat at our Christmas Eve gathering. Also, they were kind enough to put the oil & vinegar on the side..... but the plastic containers they put them in leaked over EVERYTHING (and I mean everything - the bag, the tray, my trunk, my unwrapped Christmas gifts that were in the trunk, etc). It was especially disappointing bc we were so excited to try something new this year and hoped to have a new Christmas eve tradition....
