Weis Markets — Local services in Cumberland

I like everything about this market quite a lot. Everything besides the prices and the complicated, convoluted app required for discounts. The staff is generally phenomenal and always helpful. It's refreshing and has been this way since the market opened. The store is clean and while not well merchandised it is set. Not because the shelves aren't ready - they are and are organized but rather whoever's idea (someone in corporate who does not shop for groceries themselves would be my guess) it was ike they are definitely left something to be desired I. I can usually find what I need but to this day still find myself looking for 15 minutes to find common items. This is a minor frustration vs the pricing. It is much higher than some other local stores on comparable items. There are sales but not often than not you only get the sale price if you buy a certain # of things. Yes I would like to save . 25¢ on a loaf of bread but if I have to buy 6 loaves to get a discount then what's the point? The same goes for everything else. Eg Weis brand queso/chips with coupon for ~4$ the same thing from Frito lay is seriously almost 11$ and sometimes you can save a more on the app according to the app but often times it doesn't work...

Going downhill more n more. Fired another one of my favorites, suspended another for stupid reasons. Mitch, Edward, Dawn, Stephen, Kevin and Christina are the only ones keeping me coming back and it's becoming less n less. In fact my daughter adores Christina she asks for her EVERY time we go in. They are forcing me to go to Wal-Mart, which is fine mostly everything is cheaper there plus I can do all my errands in one place..... Head store manager Jeff I think is his name, shows how much he interacts with customers...but is a shirt n tie jerk! Didn't even says thank you when $170 purchase didn't go thru and I came back being honest n he just blew it off had others take care of it, who thank me and apologized. But those 7 cans of formula messed the inventory up I'm sure since he just had them scan them and run the card over, he don't appreciate honesty....Kristin always has an attitude, never smiles or greets anyone, doesn't ever help and anything you ask isn't her department, well if you are a manger/supervisor whatever they are all your departments. I went from $800-$1000/month customer to maybe $400 just when I need something quick. Smh. This place HAD potential! If Christina and Stephen ran this store it b so...

Weis in Cresaptown is an awesome store. The employees are always friendly. I've read some reviews that have really irritated me. If people would read the signs on the doors you would see what time they close. It has been 9pm since May (2023). Also, there are always employees up front to help you with self checkout. All you have to do is ask. They will do it all for you. ALL of it. From scanning and bagging and they will even help you if you have trouble with selecting your payment method, etc. Just ask!! They have excellent produce. They have amazing sales. Their prices aren't any higher than Martin's. The store is really...
