Restrooms are card-entry(residents) only, as is the big bridge. Great for them. If you live here you are lucky because it’s a beautiful area. But not very friendly. Bridgeland is very, very private. They don’t like people enjoying their parks, even families with kids, especially not families, because they cause the most trouble. Same trend as the bridgeland treehouse and other trails I’ve seen, secret police people patrol and ask if you are a resident and if not, ask you to leave or they call the sheriff because it’s trespassing. I don’t see a sign at THIS park that says residents only (except for certain areas like the bridge and bathrooms) but I have at the parks/play areas. But we always feel uninvited (because we aren’t residents, even though we are considering moving here). They will tow your car away from the lot if you aren’t a resident because they have lists of residents’ plates. It’s a real right wing police state out here, wish I...
Read moreI didn’t see any birds lol but this place is absolutely gorgeous. We were going to go fishing but then we wound up just looking around at all of the wildlife and beautiful flowers and things like that. It’s way bigger than I thought it was going to be. Definitely a beautiful spot for a wedding reception or to take bridal photos or family pictures. I’m not even kidding you when I tell you this is got to be one of the prettiest places I’ve seen in a long time. In my opinion it looked to be completely safe there was very few people around but there was a guy walking his dog and I stopped to ask him a few questions. He told me all about the neighborhood adjacent to the park, he was as polite and sweet as could be he said it was a wonderful area to live and they have so many amenities offered for free for residence around the park. This whole area is...
Read moreIf you are visiting Bridgeland, you should definitely visit Josey Lake Park & Bird Sanctuary. The park offers playground, boardwalks, central lake, birding tower, events pavilion, boat house, 3 mile walking trail etc. There is a big parking lot in front of the pavilion on Bridgeland Creek Pkwy. The park's one side is open for public and another side is surrounded by residential areas. Some parts of the park are residents only though.
The best thing is the park is open 24 hours. We went there a few times. The sunset from the park is a beautiful scene you should not miss. Once we went there after 8 pm, walked on the boardwalk and sat at the bird tower. The lake welcomed us with cold breeze. Nice memory. One time we saw a frog roaming on the trail. It's a must-visit spot for nature lovers and...
