The owner is absolutely the rudest. My daughter has been shopping there for years and every time it's a hassle! This year she decided to go back, after a long battle about it, i caved. My daughter picked a dress to rent and paid the deposit. A week or so later, we were at mall and she found a dress to buy that was cheaper than the rented dress. She called Lindel (owner) and asked if she could cancel rental and was told "No, i dont do refunds!" And hung up on my 13 year old. Ok lessoned learned, we will get rented dress and not go back! The day before peagant, i go on my lunch break to get dress and when i get there, i walk in, she passes me at front door and walks out to talk on phone. Not a single "hold on a moment" "ill be right back", nothing. She comes back in like i ruined her day by making her speak. I asked for dress and she said, "no, she cancelled it". I said "no she didnt. She paid you and you dont do cancellations". She said "well it hasnt been pulled and i dont do pick up before 4." "Ok, what time do you close, i get off at 6 and work across the street". She said, "i close at 6 and i'm not waiting on you" and walked off. At 4:05, my mom and daughter went to pick up her dress. When my daughter walked in, she told her i said after 4, my daughter said that it was after 4. Needless to say dress hadn't been pulled. Finally, she gets dress. Saturday night comes for peagant. And this beautiful white dress is taken out of bag and when my daughter puts in on the whole bottom of the dress was dirty. She didn't have it cleaned before she gave it to my daughter. She was crushed that she had to go on stage with a dirty dress that she spent a lot of her money to rent. So, when i took it back to drop it off. She took it out if bag and was examining it and i told her about it being dirty and she couldnt have even pretended to care. She completely blew me off and gave me a receipt and again walked away. She took my address to send my daughter a thank you card that she never got. I wish i could give less than 1 star because this is not the only incident we have had but it was definitely the last. I will never send anyone to this store. If you hate your job so much get another one. This is not the way to...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. The owner of the establishment is very rude and dishonest. After losing my senior prom due to COVID, I was informed that I could not receive a refund for the money I spent on my dress, even though I was physically unable to pick up the dress due to state-wide lock down. It took numerous attempts over the course of two months to hear back from the owner that I would not be receiving a refund but could instead use store credit. I decided to use my store credit to purchase a dress for homecoming for a friend of mine because I am no longer in high school and need a prom/homecoming dress. The owner was late to the appointment and later informed me that I could not use my store credit for someone else, a rule she did not feel inclined to tell me beforehand. Instead, she told me I could get half of my store credit and pay for the rest of the dress. Throughout the entire appointment, the owner remained on the phone and was oblivious to my friend in the dressing room. She chose a dress well-above the price range that I had in store credit and kept mentioning other amenities like tanning, that would be available to use for my credit. At checkout, I was informed that the dress would be $60 more to rent and $90 to buy. Even though I personally was wanting to buy the dress for my own personal reasons, the owner scammed me out of $66 worth of my store credit and charged me more than I actually owed. Do not bother wasting your time, energy, and money at a store where you are treated like you are a burden to even be in there and the owner swindles people out of...
Read moreMy daughter is a Senior at MGM this year. September 2nd, she went to Dejavu Consignment Boutique in Ocean Springs to get a dress for her Senior homecoming that is this weekend.she tried on a dress and paid the rental fee for, as the shop would not sell her the dress outright. Fast forward to Monday (homecoming week) 5:15 pm I get a call with my daughter crying her eyes out, dress supposedly damaged, they tell her to come back and get another dress, she drives back over an hour away, gets dress 2. Wednesday of hoco week, shop calls needing the dress 2 back cause they double rented. After much trouble, agreement was reached to get a third dress and a refund of the rental fee. When it came time wed night, the lady, Lindell Asher, who is by the way, the rudest and most disrespectful person I quite possibly have ever met in my life, tries to crawfish on the refund due to “ us being so difficult to work with, and calling and complains,” so since we have no choice but to wear the third dress because it’s wed night. Thursday night is the spirit rally, Friday night the game and Saturday the dance, so with work and school we had no time to find another dress. We argue, ultimately end up exchanging dress 2 for dress 3 with the promise of refunding the rental fee the next morning. I post about this on Facebook and tons of other people share similar experiences with this person and this shop in the comments. If you want your daughters Senior homecoming week spent in tears, go here, but if not, avoid at allll cost! Terrible person,...
