Do not waste your time. I brought a huge Kate Spade shopping bag of name-brand womenâs clothing (sizes 0â2). Every piece was either new with tags, never worn, or worn once or twice in perfect condition. The attendant said it would take 45 minutes; I waited over 30 while other customers were finished in 10. The girl who started with my bag actually left; saying there was ânothing to doâ and my bag sat half-processed on a shelf. When staff finally pulled my bag after asking and their confusion on what tub was mine and my personal huge Kate spade bag I brought my clothes in. They removed items without giving me an itemized list or receipt, and I was never told why pieces were accepted or refused. Their full offer for everything â including brand-new Banana Republic jeans ($80 tag) and a $54 NWT top was only about $30 something the girl was mumbling, so I took those two items back. I walked out with just $27 for the rest, which included Michael Kors, Anne Klein, Gianni Bini, and other high-end brands.
Employees were unprofessional and loud: making rude comments about customersâ clothes (and even reading someoneâs email aloud) within earshot.
When I asked basic questions as a first-time seller, an employee snapped, âWhat is the problem!?â The reasons they gave were inconsistent â claiming items were âtoo oldâ or âwornâ (completely untrue), saying they âdonât take scarvesâ even with tags, while I saw nearly identical items on their racks.
There were clothes on the racks in I would not even say "good" condition with staining and wear and tear. It felt completely arbitrary and dismissive. Iâve sold at Buffalo Exchange, Back on the Rack, Swap Boutique, and Platoâs Closet and always received clear policies, printed criteria, and itemized receipts. This location gave me none of that: no transparency, no documentation, and unprofessional staff. If you value respect and fair treatment, go elsewhere. (I took pictures of my $80 NWT never worn and $54 NWT never worn top, and the NWT scarf that "they don't take." Below.)
I only gave 2 stars because I have been in my High end Customer/Patient Serving career for 20 years.
To treat your customers like dirt when you want trust, rapport, repeat business, word of mouth, when taking people's money is absolutely insane. I hope this review helps and puts proper protocol and kind customer service where there is no stupid question in place! Otherwise I would give 1 star; hopefully this can be beneficial for...
Read moreI absolutely love this store! I have been a frequent shopper since they first opened. I also frequently bring clothes, shoes, and purses in to sell. I have always found their offers to be fair and they buy a large portion of what I bring in regularly. I have sold a few high end bags to them and was pleased with the amount they offered me. It's much easier to bring in your things and have them offer you a price that day in cash or store credit for items you don't wear any longer but don't want to just give away. It's so much easier than bothering with taking photos and describing each piece to sell them online, especially when I typically have only made a few dollars more going to all the trouble of listing, selling, then shipping items online. They deal with all of that and I don't have to worry about customer returns or exchanges so it's well worth it to me. The biggest draw for me are the people working there. Whether I'm selling my stuff or just shopping for new things they are so welcoming and helpful, I always enjoy stopping by there. The owner is the sweetest lady! She is thoughtful and funny and somehow remembers details about all of our conversations. She definitely made a friend and lifelong customer out of me with her kind heart and generous spirit as I was devastated by the loss of my sister. She made me feel like she genuinely cared how I was suffering and immediately came up to me to offer a hug and an ear the next time I visited. She is there day and night it seems so there is always a member of upper management on site should you need one. The best thing about this place, hands down is the crazy low prices! They have the best clearance sales out of everywhere that I shop! You're missing out if you...
Read moreI usually love shopping here but sadly my experience tonight left me really disappointed. While I understand employees look forward to leave promptly (believe me, I'm a teacher), I feel that it shouldn't be a reason for poor customer service. The employee in charge (there was another lady but she was checking the cashier) seemed (and acted) annoyed because I'd stayed till closing time. I asked if I could try a sweater while she checked my items out and she said no because they were already PAST closing time (it was 7:56 pm so that wasn't true). I asked to return a sweater that shed but didn't have the tag. I was told I couldn't return it because of it even though I'd bought the item 3 days ago and I had my receipt and the photo on instagram (that showed the price and when it'd been put for sale). She was checking me out and asked me if I wanted a bag or keep a reward point. I'd brought a bag to return items so I said I'd use my bag. After this, she ran my card, asked me to sign the receipt and went away. She didn't even bother to fold the clothes I'd paid for or thank me for my purchase. She just went to the door to unlock it and didn't see her after that. I had to stay extra time folding the clothes when one of them should've done it or at least helped me. Again, I understand she must've been annoyed I stayed till closing time but that's not excuse for poor manners. I will be back only during daytime hours because I've never had this kind of experience when the...
