We’ve been loyal customers for 5+ years and have left positive 5 star reviews in the past! We loved the old owners so much that even once we moved 6 hours away, we kept scheduling our dogs grooming around trips to visit family on the coast. We’ve now had grooming done 3 times since the new owner took over. And 2 of those 3 times, our dog has come back with cuts and scabs in her armpit/back of front leg area. Now I understand that sometimes accidents happen but I have never even been told there were any issues after an appointment. Scott (old owner) once cut one of my other dogs nail too short and he let me know right away, and didn’t charge for the nail cut. With these recent cuts being in a sort of hidden area, it’s only upon petting her that we’ve found them on our own. I don’t appreciate them trying to hide it instead of being upfront. Needless to say, we will not be returning. The new ownership and staff seems to be very inexperienced. Aside from the cuts we found, her hair cut was not done as well as previous visits and overall the new ownership and staff seems to be very inexperienced. Upon entering the shop to pick up our dog, the girl at the front desk was clearly on a personal phone call that prevented her from acknowledging me. I didn’t expect her to hang up on the person, but a simple ā€œI’ll be right with youā€ or letting the other person on the line know that she had a customer so she could end the call would have been much more professional. Sad to say that I no longer recommend Tailwaggers

BEWARE OF NEW OWNERS I have been taking my puppy , Princess, to be groomed at Tailwaggers’s for the last three months. Each time her haircut was flawless! Today when Princess was picked up, I was shocked. My puppy is shaved so low & her tail hair was cut off completely. Her face , ears and paws are not rounded . One side of her face is cut shorter than the other side! Her sanitary area is still long and not cut down?! She has clippers burns on the front her chest! Previous owners would cut her with shears and not clippers! My puppy is very excited and happy overall , after picking up she’s jumpy and timid. I’m not sure if they did something to my puppy but I’m concerned now. I reached out to them with no response! I will not be coming back! I only gave 1 star because I couldnt give 0 stars! I’ll show before and after pictures! The first picture is the original owners! Night and day!

The young people working the counter were nice & friendly, and the groomer came out to meet my girl. Afterwards, she looked beautiful! Me & my 4.5lb yorkie had a great experience with Tailwaggers under the new ownership. Inside looks a little different, but they still have a wonderful selection of treats, shampoos, and accessories. BEWARE OF NEW OWNERS I have been taking my puppy , Princess, to be groomed at Tailwaggers’s for the last three months. Each time her haircut was flawless! Today when Princess was picked up, I was shocked. My puppy is shaved so low & her tail hair was cut off completely. Her face , ears and paws are not rounded . Not gonna lie, I was worried with the transition of owners. Like every dog mom, I only want the best for my pup. The young people working the counter were nice & friendly, and the groomer came out to meet my girl. Afterwards, she looked beautiful! Very Disappointed from the moment I walked in. Being a new client, I was not even greeted politely. The guy just started asking questions about my dog and filling in a card with her info. I informed him that she was a shelter rescue and would be squeamish on the first grooming, because she is not familiar with them. Also, let them know that the hind part of her body was extremely sensitive to her. She had been abuse, before I rescued her. He was snippy and condescending. Did not like me asking questions and cut me off a lot. I felt bad leaving her there, as I walked out. Scott called and left a message that she was ready for pick up. When I got there I was shocked at the bill. It was $15 dollars more than I have ever paid for a grooming. I asked the girl checking me out why it was so high. She said the pricing is based on breed, weight, and temperament. According to the notes, my dog did not enjoy the process (quote). I left with a trembling dog, and informed the girl that I would not be coming back for their services. Needless to say, I will drive 4 hours back to Panama City, to go back to my groomer who is the nicest, kindest groomer ever..My dog has no temperament problem with her at all. I have 4 dogs that need grooming (all rescues). To bad they lost this client, Could have been a good one!.....Wish I could leave a...

Rude owner! Months ago I reached out to Scott respectfully about an issue via text with pictures and my contact info but didn’t receive a response until 6 days later

This is why there was no need to respond back because clearly my concerns about my dog was not important to you or your business. I took my baby to the vet promptly and they stated it most likely was from her grooming experience. I was not rude in my approach when expressing my concern to the owner. If you did not want to refund us, you could have acknowledged the issue before 6 days had passed or offered us an alternative. I would hope that any sign or irritation discomfort, pain or redness noticed at the time of service would have been addressed during pickup. Even still, We let that situation be and never wrote a bad review until the situation today.

Scott as a business owner has the right to refuse service to anyone but the reasoning is because he cannot communicate and problem solve. We leave our babies in your hands while they are receiving service at your establishment. Please work on effective communication, accountability and...
