We've lived here for a year and just renewed our lease for another. Overall we are happy with our experience so far. The 2 bedroom apartment layout is spacious and has a good amount of storage space. The walls and floors aren't too thin, and generally I don't hear our neighbors save the occasional furniture move or heavy footstep upstairs; just typical muffled apartment noises and nothing more. We have not had any issues with bugs, pests, mold, etc thus far.
When we moved in wifi hookup was fairly easy since the apartments are already equipped for AT&T. Electric was also easy to set up since the electric company is just up the street.
The apartment grounds are well kept and the community spaces are clean with a welcoming feel. The gym equipment is in good repair and the pool always looks clean and is maintained weekly. I do wish the gym hours were longer, as they close early on pool cleaning day, but generally the gym is open 6am-10pm. Last summer the pool also closed at 9 or 10 (the main gate was not yet installed so it may be different this coming summer), and similarly I wish the pool was open later (if not all night since summer nights are certainly warm enough for a swim) for residents now that we can access the pool gate with the app.
One small concern is the front gate, which is a little slow to open. You use an app to get in through the gate but don't need it to get out. Once or twice the app failed, albeit only for a short period of time. I'm afraid that one of these days my phone will die or I'll forget to bring it while I'm out in the evening and I won't be able to get back in except via waiting and following someone in. Granted, this thankfully hasn't happened to me yet, but I wish there was an alternate method to get in should something like this happen. Overall I'm still glad that we have a working gate, so can't complain too much.
On a positive note, the ladies at the office are always very friendly and helpful. They communicate prompt updates through the resident app and email. Although we've rarely had maintenance issues considering this is apartment is only a year old, for the one or two small issues we had maintenance was responsive and pleasant. The neighbors and community as a whole are friendly and neighborly. People are often out walking their dogs and there are kids who play outside as the complex is safe and set back from the main road.
The location of this apartment is convenient. It is only 15min or less from Keesler, and close to both I-10 and 110. A decent sized shopping center with Target, Walmart, a variety of restaurants etc is also very close and convenient. The post office is only a few minutes away. The beach is only about 15min away.
Overall my husband and I recommend...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR IF YOU WANT TO LOSE OUT ON A LOT OF MONEY!!!! All these 5 star reviews are from people that most likely just moved in and they are trying to incentivize them into giving a good review, because they did the same thing when I moved in 2 years ago. I have never missed a payment and I have been as good tenant, but this apartment is SO MONEY HUNGRY! I showed my lawyer our lease and he said this is the worst lease he has seen in his 20+ years of working. It makes me so sad because the apartments are very nice, but they aren’t going to update them. One of my neighbors said she has been there since they have opened and they never come to fix anything, her carpet is tearing up and there is rust all in the showers. There is rust in my shower too. I have had such bad luck with neighbors, I have a 2 year old and I get the cops called on me all the time DURING THE DAY and the apartment people act like I’m such a terrible person because my kid is being a kid. The walls are so thin!!!! I know the people above me are walking normal but it sounds like they are stomping and throwing each other around. Someone I know said the apartment weren’t built very good. This place just wants your money!!!! When I transferred from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom, the amount of fees I had to pay was so outrageous I wanted to cry and now that I’m moving out because my lease is FINALLY up, they are making me pay 2500 a month for month to month rent because I didn’t realize it was a 60 day notice I had to give(most apartments don’t care, they know if you haven’t said anything you are moving out at the end of your lease). It honestly makes me sick how much money I’ve given this apartment and they do not care about you!!! Like I said, they are beautiful apartments but looks can be...
Read moreNot that it matters to you but your screening process seems like it is made specifically to steal money from people. $50 for app fee and $150 for reservation for all of 2 days. I don't know what kind of money y'all think everybody in the world have to just give away $150 every time they apply for an apartment l. This is horrible. Purposely denying people who have consistent income and who can pass a background check and may have some credit challenges. It's like the first step is credit and you guys know a lot of people in this world including probably the people that work for you have issues with credit so you use that as the very first step you don't go beyond that to decide if somebody is worthy enough to live at your apartment complex. You refused to approve my application even though I met all of the other criteria but just because of my credit and I find that to be horrible I find that to be lacking humanity and predatory! Your management and owners have no sense of community or compassion. I can't imagine how many victims that have paid money for an application because they want to live at one of your locations and the best thing you guys can do is say oh yeah just fill it out sometimes the credit and stuff is not a big deal when in reality you already know if I'm telling you my credit is challenged you just want the money and y'all keep that money instead of giving people their money back if they're declined because you really didn't hold the apartment that's just something y'all say so you can keep people money while knowing you're going to deny them. You guys really need to revaluate how you screen your tenants because the way that you guys are doing this is absolutely horrible I would never recommend anyone to any of...
