This is one of, if not the most historic landmarks, in Biloxi, MS. The atmosphere in several of the rooms, is splendid and you will not find a more friendly staff in town at a very busy restaurant! Always call ahead tho, to make reservations because they are always a packed house from Mon-Sat, mainly for supper and closed on Sundays. The seafood is so fresh, it cones from local shrimpers and fishermen which helps our local economy! All my years living here on the Gulf Coast, I've never been with any one person or a dinner party that has sent food back, or complained about their food. As I said the atmosphere is quite elegant and private in some rooms and more family style and more brightly lit in other rooms, it really is whichever you prefer and as long as you let them know ahead of time, they have always accommodated us. Mr. Mahoney himself will come out and tries to greet as many people as he can, table by table. It's a great historic place with old town Biloxi, written all over it, and absolutely 5 star quality food to take your out of town guests. Dress, to be quite honest, is nice casual, I would say, that you don't have time wear your Sunday best, unless your occasion calls for it, and this is a beach town, so, as long as you are not in a string bikini, ha, I'm sure you will be welcome! Oh and there is boutique type shopping in the courtyard, as well, with great views of Biloxi for taking family and friend photos for...
Read moreThe Promenade itself has a good selection of stores/ fast/quick food restaurants. Biggest issue I have with the area is it is very congested. There is tons of space on the South side of I-10 where a mall was suppose to go in 10 years ago, but it sits empty. Recommend moving the higher congested stores South (i.e. Chick A filet and Olive Garden). The whole middle strip of stores in addition to the one's previously mentioned (Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks, Smoothie Place, Shoe Station)...open this area up and redesign the parking areas. Additionally, the location for Lowe's. It is dangerous and unsafe pulling in and out of parking lot. I would also eliminate the access road by Wendy's and Ruby Tuesday and redesign entering form the Whataburger entrance to get to all the areas in the back corner...this may not be the best location either, but the area of Lowes/Wendy's and on top off that the busy intersection catty corner just adds to the congestion. A "B" for store selection, but a "D-"...
Read moreYou'll find the usual staples such as Best Buy, Target, Olive Garden, Dick's Sporting Goods, Starbucks, shoe stores, nail salons, Red Lobster, etc. Nothing high end but a nice area to do a little shopping. The traffic can get fairly busy in this area too. The parking lot in the Promenade area is one of the worst I've encountered though. On the Best Buy & Dick's Sporting Goods side there seems to be stop signs randomly placed & people drive thru the entire lot cutting across it & not paying attention. On the other side with Starbucks & Olive Garden, same kind of thing except the parking lots are smaller & people are driving around from behind the restaurants not really paying attention. It's just not a good layout so be careful when navigating through the...
