I had a former employee DocuSign a five-year agreement for a shredding service that Stericycle does called under the name of Shred-it. And unbeknownst to me, they have an auto renew after five years for another automatic five years. And you can’t get out of the contract unless you pay them a big cancellation fee. I’ve never heard of an auto renew more than a year!? For it to be five years and for them to strong arm me to pay a cancellation fee is absolutely absurd! They keep sending out their trucks for service unless you cancel three days in advance every eight weeks. And even when I’ve canceled…trucks have still shown up and they said I didn’t cancel, and they bill me over $100 for the service. Stay far away from this company. I’ve never made a negative review against any company since I’m a business owner myself however, Stericycle does not want to listen to any type of reason. And they just want their money. Read moreI have had similar negative experiences with stericycle in Colorado Springs. November was my last service pick up and the beginning of the demise. Ive been schedule twice for service boxed up my sharps wait around for them and no show and no call despite that I called to confirm service the day prior. I've called and get absolutely no competent assistance. Email, does nothing absolutely zero response from customer service. Finally I canceled service, sent an email, and a letter to corporate headquarters. Still nothing. I'll be persuing a refund for the service I've paid for and haven't received. Total waste of my time and energy. Good riddance! Don't ask me to call or email, if someone ever decides to reach out, look up my company and call me like you should have in the first place.

Read moreWe have been extremely unhappy with Stericycle's services and customer support since August 2024. Since then, we've been incorrectly billed, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, it remains unresolved as of February 2025. Each time we have a scheduled pickup, there are recurring issues—such as the wrong bucket being brought, and no containers available for replacement.
Whenever we try to escalate the issue, I'm never able to speak to a manager, and it feels like we're just going around in circles. To make matters worse, when I attempted to cancel our service, the sales representative told me I couldn't and that there’s no one higher up to speak with regarding this ongoing issue.
