Remington Outpost Inc — Local services in Dade City

My new favorite store! I've been driving by this place for nearly 30 years and have never stopped. Wow! I wish I would have. I was in the market for a new pair of boots. So I did the usual these days and started looking at online stores. I was a little worried about buying boots online. Although I have been wearing the same size shoes for 35 years, it still seems that when it comes to boots they just don't fit the same as other types of shoes. So I decided to try Remington Outpost. It's about 40 minutes from my house, but well worth the drive. So I met a wonderful sales person named Sydney. What a big help she was. She carefully explained the differences in boots and asked me for what and when would I be wearing my new boots. She was sooooooo helpful. I think I spent about 30 minutes with her trying on different boots. Yeah, they had my size (13) in several different styles (that's pretty unusual). And we found a perfect fit. Now when I shop for clothes or shoes I usually have some sales person trying to up sell something to me. Or trying to get rid of some old stock, but not her! She was making sure that I got what I wanted. She was so helpful that I ended up buying two pairs of boots, a pair of sox, two baseball caps and a western style cowboy hat, and two pair of jeans! And not once did she suggest an add on to me. She only made suggestions when I asked her for help! Sydney thank so much for being kind and helpful. You made my shopping experience a real pleasure. And you did it with a smile on your face the whole time! Everyone there is so nice! I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for...

Incredibly abusive treatment by the store manager and other employee… Sorry to say.

We shop here regularly for hats, boots, belts, cologne… Long sleeve shirts… Et cetera for the last five years.

We will never go back.

We recently went into the store with the family, including our 10-year-old boy and one of the girls was dressed with 90% of her top exposed… We very politely explained to the store manager the situation and asked if they could please speak to the young lady (whom we encountered at out last 2 visits to the store) and ask her to cover up her upper torso to protect the eyes of our little boy… Not only did the manager raise her voice so disrespectfully, but an older woman working there took her turn yelling at me (date: 11/27/24) the day before Thanksgiving, 2024, took their turn telling me that my dress standards are not their standards… I continued to politely respond With my very polite & reasonable objection just trying to explain my stance nicely, and they overwhelmed me with terribly rude and discourteous yelling “you don’t have to say it again!!!”… There’s just no way to explain it: a complete disregard for my concern as a repeat customer, and a mother, and wife. They could have nicely just heard me out, even if they disagreed.

My husband says that we will not be returning to this Brooksville store, not because of their dress code, but because of their contempt for our desire to shop in an environment where my husband and I feel it is safe for all of us.

Next time, we are going...

I went into the Brooksville location this afternoon to purchase a pair of work boots. I wanted a pair of Justin lace ups. I didn’t see my size. A young lady that was standing behind the counter when I walked in came down the aisle I was on and didn’t say a word to me so I had to ask her if they might have my size somewhere else. She said probably not. I then asked her if they could order them and she said maybe. I also asked her if they carried a different brand in that style and she once again said maybe but would have to ask someone else. She walked up to the front counter and started talking to a couple. She finally came back and walked right past me and never said a word. Came back a second time and once again, never said a word. I know my measly couple hundred dollars doesn’t matter to you but I’m sure I will find some other business that will take care of me and take my money. I work in customer service and I can assure you that if I treated my customers the way I was treated today I wouldn’t have a job. I will never step foot in your business again nor will I ever recommend you to...
