Waterfall was beautiful. When your reach the military base, turn left through the road guards. Go about half a mile and you can park on your right. Enter the gated gravel road (Ranger sign is hanging over it) and walk to the bottom, you’ll see the waterfall to your right. Unfortunately the trail was too badly overgrown to find and walk but it may be better in the fall. I would advise to go during the weekend as they would be training during the week which would make it a wasted trip. (You can find the trail on the app,...

We used to go to Black Falls and do some photos of the waterfall, but the security folks at the Camp Merrill now say the Captain in charge of security for the garrison has it closed to the public for viewing the falls. What a shame as Black Falls is an amazing waterfall. Attached is an image I took of the falls in October 2021 when the security staff didn't have any issues with folks taking photos of the waterfall when there wasn't any...

I’m not sure I want to encourage others to go here as others have mentioned in their reviews, it is federal government owned property and a training site for Army Rangers and it does state in a number of different places..No Trespassing. It’s a shame this was put on google maps as it entices people to want to go a view it. It’s a spectacular chasm fall that is like a sliding board and it changes directions...
