HIGH PRICES. I saw a few reviews online claiming that this company was expensive; however, I ignored them because most of the reviews are 5 stars. If I wouldn't have ignored the reviews, I would still have the $60 that I was forced to pay for two kids to come to my home just to leave within 15 minutes. I called this company because I had no water running from my shower and had low pressure in the kitchen sink, I wanted them to connect a water line from my sink to my new refrigerator, and I wanted to see how much it would cost to reinstall my water heater. When I called and asked for quotes, I was told that it all depends on the job. This is not true! The company has set pricing for everything. I made an appointment and two men showed up at my house. I showed them everything that was going on and the main one immediately whipped out his phone and started quoting me prices for everything. I was shocked when he said $375 to reinstall my water heater. He claimed that they were all company prices and it cost so much because it's plumbing, electric, and their company's guarantee. What are they guaranteeing? Don't be fooled by them not knowing the prices. They claim that they can't give you a quote because it all depends on the job so you are forced to pay the service fee to have them come to your home to look at everything. If I would have known the prices to begin with, I would have never made the appointment! I said no to all of their services because the pricing was outrageous. They wanted me to pay $710 for everything, not including checking out the in the shower. $375 to reinstall a water heater, $275 to hook up a water line to a refrigerator, $60 for the service fee, and they said they would charge me $100 just to look at the shower. After they left, I ended up doing all of these projects myself. I understand that I probably should have done it myself to begin with, but I thought that hiring a plumber would be easier and it would ensure that the job was done correctly. If you don't care about the cost, go ahead and hire them, but if you are looking fair pricing, find someone else or do...
Read moreNorth Georgia Rooter installed a new shower in my house recently. It was completed in one day, and the team did an excellent job! The whole process that they used made things so easy for me. First Isaiah came to my house to do an estimate. The estimate that I soon received from the company was very reasonable. I had already found the shower that I wanted, and upon my request, North Georgia Rooter ordered everything that was needed. The company kept me updated on the shower arrival, delivery date to my home, and the installation date. Lee and Jordan, co-owners, delivered the shower to my home a few days before installation. On installation day, my old tub/shower was removed, and then the work began on the new shower. Their plan was well-organized and efficient. At some point during the installation, I was asked for input on the placement of some of the shower features. That was much appreciated by me. Upon completion, I was shown how to operate the shower features, and my questions were answered. I really appreciate all the hard work that was done that day by Lee’s team! They even found time to install three new toilets and also hauled off the old tub materials. I am very glad that I chose a local company like North Georgia Rooter. I am enjoying my new shower, and my only regret is that I didn’t do this project sooner. Thanks to everyone at North...
Read moreIsaiah and Joey were terrific! Very professional and courteous! I am giving the overall rating 4/5 stars, though, because I was surprised at how expensive it was to reset the toilet, as it took only about 20 minutes to do it. (I took my dog for a quick walk, and by the time I got back home, they were finished.) I’ve since looked at pricing for this particular service and, by comparison, $325 is very expensive. (And that’s in addition to the $60 service call, bringing the complete total to $385.) They did take a minute to look at my water/sewage line in the backyard… not a detailed examination, just a quick look to see if anything appeared out of the ordinary, which it didn’t.
I am hoping that in the next couple of days, I will know if the problem is fixed. The reason I had called them out being that there has been was a very foul odor emanating from the downstairs toilet. The odor is still there, but I’m hoping that with a little time it will go away, and that resetting the toilet is what was needed. But again, the young men who came out were very nice… I am more concerned with the cost than...
