Daughter was EXTREMELY helpful, very knowledgeable about rocks and gems, and is very friendly/welcoming.
The father is not in the market to sell items. Some rocks were prices a little high, but some other things are wayyy out of value. They have a good sized chunk of uranium glass on display for sale, normally valued around $200-$300. The daughter couldn’t remember the price so she called her father who informed me it was priced at $5,000 because if a little piece was taken off and faceted then it is worth $1000 for that piece.
He showed me a piece that had been faceted and while it was pretty, it could be recreated for $75 -$100 using the same type of glass.
He has a Fenton uranium glass cat priced at $1000 and it’s worth about $100-$150
The father isn’t one to try and negotiate either due to his attitude.
A majority of the actual rocks inside were priced steeply, but some small pieces were good. If you step outside, all the “rocks” on the table are actually cullets of glass waste and not an actual rock.
If you’re going to go here, be knowledgeable on prices so you are not taken advantage of...

If you're a Smokey and the Bandit fan, this place is a little slice of movie heaven!
The one building is totally gone but the Rock shop is still present.
We rolled up excited... only to find it closed. But don’t worry — there's a handwritten sign that says “Honk for service,” which made us feel like we were in the movie ourselves.
We honked. No Buford T. Justice. No Bandit. Just us and the tumbleweeds.
Still totally worth the stop — even if only for the laughs and nostalgia. Next time, Bandit, we’re catching you...
