Take a day off sometime in the fall, get up early and leisurely drive the whole length of the scenic highway! It is absolutely gorgeous. The perfect winding mountain road. Several overlooks and trailheads that lead to waterfalls. Not far from Helen (once again, go on a weekday and avoid crowds - he’ll avoid people completely!) and ends near Blairsville where you can grab a cup of coffee before heading back down the highway and see it all from the other direction! Love this road. I go here to find my peace when I need a bit of an escape from the bustle of the corporate world.

I had the chance to drive the Russell-Brasstown Scenic Byway in a Ferrari and Audi R8 thanks to Xtreme Xperience's Open Road Supercar Tour Experience. What a beautiful drive! A perfectly windy road with long sweeping turns and tight technical corners. Nice big open overlooks made for great photo opportunities.

If you want to get away from all the negative COVID pandemic and politics, and just zone out in one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the South, take this from Helen GA to Bryson City, North Carolina. It is breathtaking! I loved every minute of this drive. Quite, wonderful, great views, lots of curves and trees and plants of all kinds! We opened the windows and enjoyed a nice , cool, fall breeze and the PERFECT sound of nature in...

We were on our way to Brasstown Bald and we stumbled upon this path by sheer accident, and were mesmerized by the nature colors of falls. This is almost like a half an hour driveway where you get to see falls colors of tall trees by the road on both sides. This is a single lane bi-directional road but did not see much of the cars so you can drive slowly to check out the colors. A must visit tourist attraction if you never seen/heard...
