During our recent visit to the Dahlonega and Cleveland Georgia wine country area, we had the pleasure of exploring the Tesnatee River Winery and Meadery. We had a wonderful experience here today thanks to Priscilla, who took excellent care and thoughtfulness in walking us through a flight each of mead and wine with a cheeseboard pairing. We also got to sample all the honeys available for purchase as we nibbled and sipped. Priscilla was also super attentive to our toddler and engaged with her while we were there. She was such a joy to speak with, and she even took the time to take a family picture for us before we left. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious. After trying many wineries in North Georgia over the past two years I happened to come across Tesnatee Winery and Meadery. I had not seen it in my prior searches but discovered that when I got there that they had just opened July 4th. They also have a facebook page but not a web page yet.

It was a wonderful experience. The woman who helped with the tastings was outstanding. Everything, including the wine, mead, honey and jams are from farm to table. Even the cheese and meat tray was better than other wineries. Lloyd Allison, the owner stopped by to say hello and he is very nice.
