Sternberg Ford — Local services in Dale

I drove 1 hr. and 45 minutes to look at a truck. I was looking for a 4X4 F150, and the information and pictures that I found on CarGurus sounded and looked a lot like what I was looking for. I wasn't thrilled about driving that distance, but my initial phone conversation with Jay was very good, so I decided to make the trip to look at the truck. Jay had told me that he was going to be off, but he would make sure that Mark was there to take care of me. Upon arriving, Mark was already working with another customer, but greeted us and made sure that we were being taken care of. He went ahead and gave me the keys to the truck so that we could test drive it. The information on CarGurus was very accurate, so I was pleasantly surprised with that. When we returned from the test drive, Mark was waiting to meet with us. We negotiated a price that I thought was very fair, and he even sent the financing to multiple places to see which one had the best rate. Because he sent it to multiple places, he actually got me a rate that was over 3% lower than what my bank was, and 1.8% lower than any of the other finance companies that he sent it to. He got my payment exactly where I wanted it, and saved me $1,800 over the life of the loan compared to the other finance companies. I've only had the truck for 2 days, but so far, I absolutely love it. I was very impressed with both Jay and Mark, and honestly, for me to say that, they had to be really good. I have always despised shopping at a dealership for a vehicle, but Jay and Mark made this a very pleasant experience!! After many weeks of seeking for an auto, I came across an explorer on Sternberg lot. I was directed to Jay Leonard. I can not say enough on the low pressure sales approach. As the weeks continued following a test drive, never ending question, Jay was always happy to answer. Over a month later, I did make the purchase, cold evening, closing time, paperwork was completed, yet this man still took the time to go over key aspect of this car to assure I was comfortable with driving it with the understanding of the "in's & out's" per say. We have worked with Sternberg Ford in Dale even before they became sternberg Ford. The staff has remained essentially the same since they got bought out and I have to say that it has been the most wonderful buying experience of my life. They will work with you on finding the right vehicle for you much. Much more than anybody else will work with you. We most recently bought a Maverick pickup truck for them in January of 2022. In fact, it was the very first Maverick that they got in for sales on the floor. We had tried to work with another retailer in the area and they would not let us see the vehicle.
