The website and store front is very clinical and generic. There's no warmth or sense of authenticism. It's a capitalistic venture, purely to make money. They count on their assumptions that the American or patriotic people are vain and full of ego therefore using America as its name will attract customers. Being loving and kind, compassionate and truly desiring to positivily impact and benefit the community, being inclusive, and ensureing you hire an inclusive and culturally diverse staff, participate in local charity work. Donate your food to shelters, and as an owner, be present and meet your neighbors and other local business folk. Become a true member of the community where people know you by name and want to come to see you and say hi. Be compassionate to the homeless and work with community leaders to truly understand and engage. Please don't simply put stores in Eugene to fill your bank account. Horrible experience. I was driving through town when I had a child puke in the car without any warning. It was all over her and the car. I had asked for a garbage bag or plastic bag so we could get her cleaned up as it was another 2.5 hour drive home. The cashier said no I had to pay for the bag. I told her I didn’t have cash only my debit card and she said no. I had to ask a few different strangers for a nickel so we could get the her pukes on clothes contained in a bag. I asked for a wet paper towel and she said no. I asked if she could use the bathroom yo wash her hands and face and use a wet paper towel to get it cleaned off and she said no. There I was.... sitting in the AirBnB in Grand Ronde with my lovely girlfriend, a splendid new years eve weekend awaited us, with a delicious meal of cioppino planned for dinner.
