King of Kings Fence constructed a 165 foot, eight foot tall fence at my home. The fence is board on board, prestained cedar pickets with double cedar trim and cap rail. The fence was built with 4 rails and a kickboard, 13 gauge metal posts set in 3 foot deep post holes filled with concrete, and has 2 walk in, 3 hinge gates. Two “boxes” were constructed to accommodate trees impinging on my property from next door. These boxes matched the fence perfectly. Prior to construction, my existing fence was removed and hauled away by King of Kings, along with a tree, shrubs, and vines. I was contacted within 24 hours after requesting a price quote. Emanuel from King of Kings came to my home, measured the existing fence, and discussed options for the new fence. He was able to provide an estimate before he left, which matched the quote listed on the PDF emailed to me the next day. I was in contact with Emanuel during the entire construction, either by phone or, more commonly, by text. The fence was built in April. The weather was not cooperative, but Emanuel kept in touch with me with updates and information. King of Kings construction crew may be the hardest working crew in the business. Led by Mr. Candido Rico, the owner of King of Kings Fence, all the crew members were obviously very experienced and accomplished fence builders. The crew included Mr. Rico, Mr. Emanuel, Mr. Juan, and Mr. Nacho. The crew was friendly, and I enjoyed all interactions I had with them. The fence was completed in three days, but may have been completed in two days if not for the inclement weather. My wife was very pleased with the new fence. I would recommend King of Kings Fence to anyone wanting to build or...
Read moreI cannot recommend King’s fencing enough. They were knowledgeable, great problem solvers, reasonably priced, and went above and beyond on the project for my backyard. A few comments and examples of each below:
Kings is knowledgeable. They showed up to my house the same day I called them and provided me with multiple options and a recommendation. This was enormously helpful for me, a first time home owner, to figure out the best way to fence my yard in.
The team at Kings has a “can do” attitude. I have a heavily wooded backyard with overgrowth, slopes, and old fencing which made it a difficult job. While other contractors were pointing out problems and suggesting I get additional contractors involved, Kings had a can-do attitude, solved the issues themselves, and even saved me some money by reusing and just levelizing the old posts that were still standing.
Their pricing was reasonable - they came in well below the other quote I received and that was with them providing a) better quality wood and b) clearing out vegetation themselves.
They went above and beyond. The fence they installed for us is BEAUTIFUL. There were multiple small touches I saw them taking care of that I would not have expected. For instance, a gate on one side of the house, which was not part of our agreement to fix, was sagging, and they went ahead and fixed it up for us. They are a team that take pride in the work they do, and their quality shines because of it.
10/10 would recommend this team to anyone in the DFW area. I know I will be using them for all my fencing needs...
Read moreCandido does a great job with fences - our fence is probably the best fence in the neighborhood. So why only 2 stars? It all has to do with follow through - once you pay Candido he is done with you. They are not very good at digging holes - which of course is a problem if you need fence posts. If you look at the picture, you can see where they cut my sprinkler wires and sprinkler pipe. Cost me $220 to get it fixed. But me not being very smart - I didn't notice that my sprinklers weren't running for 2 weeks. Half of my grass died. When i brought the issue up with Candido, he didn't seem very interested in covering the costs. He said that nothing was leaking when he left. Of course nothing was leaking, he cut my sprinkler wires. Bottom line advice - hire him to do your fence - he does a great job. But do 2 things to protect yourself. 1) If you have sprinklers, run them in front of him before he starts. Then run the again after he finishes. Don't pay him if something is wrong. 2) Don't make your last payment until he is completely done. Very hard to get him to do something when he has his money. Again don't get me wrong, his fence building ability is totally state of the art - just be a...
