TO TRUCK DRIVERS DELIVERING LOADS ONLY READ!!!!!! THIS WILL SAVE YOU TIME!!! INITIALLY,DO NOT DRIVE INTO LOT TO SIGN IN!!!. It's a very compact space when trailers fill the spots on the "yard." 1st: Coming from I 30 West: Make a right on Cockrell Hill Rd. Make a LEFT onto Rock Quarry Rd. Park alongside the right of the street as close to Cockrell Hill Rd as you can. (Or there was an empty warehouse parking lot further down to the Right) Walk up to the intersection of Cockrell Hill Rd & Rock Quarry Rd. (Refer to the pic with the yellow Top Fire Hydrant). Walk directly toward that Fire Hydrant & the entrance to the "yard" & the Door where you sign in is in that direction. On the street, Its right before the black & white ⬅️⬆️⬆️➡️ regulatory street sign in the middle of the Median right before Davis Rd. (Refer to Pic with Drawings) YOU CAN'T MISS IT!!! Today (4 30 24) when I got there there was an older White guy (I think White?) Standing on the stairs with a Tablet signing Drivers in. If no one is there there are clear directions on the Big door to "Knock" (Refer to Pic) (Can't walk in) Walk up to the door. Knock & someone will assist. (I assume). Ultimately they'll tell you to go to the light (Davis Rd) toward your RIGHT! (YES! YOUR RIGHT!!! You can't "legally" make a U Turn at that light on Davis Rd.). Make that RIGHT onto Davis Rd. Go toward your LEFT, make a U turn the 1st chance you can (comes up quiccly) (be careful of oncoming cars on the opposite side of the road because it kinda sits on a hill), make a U Turn going back to Cockrell Hill Rd. Make that LEFT onto Cockrell Hill Rd to Rock Quarry Rd., Make a RIGHT on Rock Quarry Rd & park anywhere down Rock Quarry Rd. Until they call you. (Which is why initially in the instructions I inform you to go ahead & just make that left on Rock Quarry Rd coming off of I 30 saves you time 😉). The yard is VERY SMALL. The yard jockey that was there today was a cool, laid bacc, older Hispanic Guy. Very understanding of the size of the "yard" & the struggles/difficulties some may have with maneuvering around it. He was very helpful helping me maneuver in & out of the "yard" so I'd suggest if you're not seeing a way to be able to maneuver into whatever Door they put you in, ask Him. He assisted Me. Maybe He'll do the same for you🤷🏿♂️. It'll save you time. I provided photos to give you an idea of what you're dealing with. 2) *I checked in around 6:30a. *My appt. was 8a. *I gota call @ 12:39 P.M. to Docc in Door 1 *started getting loaded around 1p *as of 1:31p & the time of this point in this review, I'm still being Unloaded.😒
Note when I came in at 6 30 in the morning there were trailers in most of the spots on the Yard. In the Pics I provided of the yard, it was around 1:15p & the yard was more clear & open. You're Welcome! 😎 (Thank them taking so long to unload for these detailed, thoughtful...
Read moreOk, well I usually don’t post poor reviews however as a trucker at times it’s important to share my experiences to assist my fellow road warriors so here it is…. I arrived yesterday around 3am for a noon appointment. You cannot check in before 06:00hrs so I as soon as I was able I did. And that’s the last I heard from Taylor Farms until about 2pm! At that time I called and was told, of course, that I was next. And that’s the last I heard from them, again, until I tried calling around 6pm and got nothing because the office is closed. So I made the long walk (don’t forget to park on the closest street as other reviews have kindly informed us) and spoke to a young man who, of course, told me I was next!! About an hour later I was called and given door 4 (the entire place is small and cramped so bring your backing skills) and unloading took no more than 30 minutes and I was in my way. So let’s review…. 1.) took a very long time to get product off truck; 2.)lost next load as broker had no choice but to cancel; 3.) I had to park at the Walmart less than a mile away (I’m still here waiting for next load) and there are many food options and a laundromat within walking distance; 4.) Staff was friendly but that does not compensate for the very poor unloading time frame; In conclusion: this is the 3rd time I have had this Cali-Tex load and this was the worst experience of the three although with significant wait times each so I would have to recommend to any trucker if you have other options I’d strongly...
Read moreThe Mexicans treat the Blacks like slaves in Taylor Farms. There's only a few Black's in there. The Leads are all Mexican. The Managers are all Mexican. 85% of the laborers are Mexicans. The HR is all Mexican. They move Blacks around like little marbles. They use Blacks to make their work loads easier. When their load gets hard, they get the Blacks to help. It's never the other way around. I was singled out several times. When I go to HR to complain about it, HR would tell me I had to go speak to someone else. I was terminated under a false allegation. And HR is lying to me about having witnesses and I have witnesses of my own. I've never been written up. They hate for you to go above them. Every Mexican in there are on a power trip. They all want to control and overpower the Black employees. It's sad to witness and experience the racism that goes on in there. And to make matters worse, the chemicals makes you sick. It's strong. You have a...
