I’ve been purchasing quark from Calkins Creamery for about 5 years now. Quark is a rarely found in US type of cheese, similar to cream cheese, but much much better. It is well known and more popular in Europe and Eastern Europe. I’ve been searching for this type of cheese for many years in the states and wasn’t able to find it anywhere, except Russian food stores. Russian stores have plenty of different brands of this cheese, but none of them are as good as this one is. I believe Calkins Creamery won some prizes for this cheese. It really is the best. I’m buying from Calkins Creamery in large quantity (5lb container) since I don’t live nearby and they simply ship it to me via UPS with lots of ice. It’s one day shipping, so I get it the next day. Their packaging is also impeccable ! I just freeze most of it in smaller containers and then use it when I need. My only wish is that they would use organic whole milk for making this cheese. Even if not certified organic, but at least to make sure that their cows eat grass that was not treated with glyphosate and other chemicals. I’ve searched for a similar cheese, but organic one, and wasn’t able to find it yet. I really hope that Calkins Creamery would consider using more organic practices and will continue to produce this wonderful cheese (they call it Georgic plain...

Stopped by for a visit to the creamery and, man, am I glad that we did! Emily was an amazing host, letting us pick any cheese to try and giving us a beautiful spread to explore. While we ate some A-mazing cheese, we also chatted with Emily about her family (who have been on that farm for several generations), her path to a life of cheese, the farm, among other things. We grabbed some shirts and cheese, before peeking out head into the barn, where we met Emily's dad who ran the milking operations there. He gave us a further rundown of the cows, the history of the farm and the area in general, before we were about to pet some mama cows and calves.

Basically, what you need to know: beautiful farm, happy cows, great people, amazing cheese. Cannot recommend a visit enough! (Thank you Emily for the visit and the recommendation to the Pump House as well, it...

We recently tried Noble Road from Calkins Creamery and absolutely loved it. It was incredibly creamy, perfectly balanced, and hands-down one of the best soft-ripened cheeses we’ve ever had. The delivery arrived right on time and was packaged with care — everything arrived in perfect condition.

Calkins Creamery has definitely earned our loyalty. We’ll be ordering from them anytime we need a soft, double, or triple cream brie. And a special shoutout to their outstanding customer service — responsive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. Can’t recommend them...
