I do not recommend this place as I was denied an application because I own other dogs currently and they typically do not let “people like me” adopt. I also left a comment on one of their Facebook post stating that this was the worst shelter ever due to them denying my application for having other dogs while they are constantly complaining about space and adoptions. They hid my comment so other people couldn’t see it (my sister told me this as she couldn’t see my comment) so I left a second comment on how I felt they didn’t really want people to adopt and that they’re just putting animals down and they left that comment and commented back that I must have fallen and bumped my head (unprofessional) then let other people drag me in the comments as they were unable to see my original comment about being denied for a stupid reason. Read moreWe adopted a tree walker coon hound, an older dog. She is so much more than the women at the center knew. The women were so helpful and so so sweet to us. We are a older couple. So you think nooo not a hound dog. So wrong. Daisy has found her forever home. She just has 1 problem, and that would be (she has velcro parents). And she loves ever minute of the attention. She goes every where with us. She has the best manners of any dog I have ever seen. She is so laid back and gentle, I have arthritis our Dasiy will see me struggling to get up and will come to me to help, she has a soul of angles. Loves to run and play but then goes to work with us and is even more mannered than most humans. One NO works for her and one NO works for her velcro parents. God sent...
Read moreThis place does their best I’m sure, but I adopted 3 cats from here recently, and 2 had to be put down because they had FeLV. The employees are kind, but they have cats put closely together— even sharing cages & it’s a total breeding ground for disease… I wish I had my cats back, it’s a damn shame to fall in love with 2 precious girlies just to lose them because this clinic cannot properly test or take preventative measures against FeLV. If you’re looking for a cat, I recommend going with a shelter that has the means to take care of their animals. Rest in peace...
