Donna Savage from Elite Real Estate is definitely an Elite professional. Most people would most likely think, like I did, that there are not many differences in real estate agents. I was wrong. Let me explain. My experience is that I have bought and sold a couple of houses with different agents. Donna Savage always answered my calls or called me right back. Other agents always took too long to return my calls or never returned them. I would get answers like they were busy with our clients. That is the last thing I want to hear. I want to think that my agent is out there working hard for me. With Donna I always felt that way. As anyone knows, your loan officer always needs some type of paperwork. She took paperwork to the bank for me when I couldn't, because of work. Even my bank agent told me I was lucky to have an agent like her. In addition, I needed to sell my house at a certain price point, because I needed the money for a down payment on my new house. Donna was always calm and reassuring when trying to sell it. She was able to get the price, which I knew was a little high. She knew it too, but didn't complain about the price. Other agents before told me that it was too high and I needed to lower the price. I felt that they were just trying to get a sell without any concern for my needs and at my expense. Your home is your single best asset. It is best not to undervalue it. Even after the sell, she has assisted my family. Though she knew there was no money to be made from me, she went to turn my gas off during the middle of the week. My aged mother in law who lives with us called me complaining about a gas smell. An outside gas lantern had been blown out by high winds. I work 1 hour away and could not leave work. I called the one person I had relied on, Donna. Though during the work week, she made time to immediately got to my house and turn off the gas. Donna Savage is the best realestate agent I had ever and will have. She gets it. She knows what I needed, met my expectations, and...
Β Β Β Read moreI was purchasing a home in Foley which was owned by an 80 year old widow and was called 5 days after the contract was written ,to inform me she didnβt want to sell. I agreed to not force an elderly woman from her home and would not take any legal action. The agent called me a couple days later saying she is now wanting to sell. The agent later told me that her brokerage was going to charge her an $8000 commission if she didnβt agree to sell. I was caught in the middle of this, however, went ahead with an inspection and investing my time and money. Now after two weeks the agent informs me she is no longer going to sell. I agree to break the contract and contacted the broker about recovering some of my expenses ,however, they are not standing by the contractual agreement because they say their client is mentally incapable. They informed me that their clIent was having signs of dementia and that is why I did not want to proceed with the purchase, but that did not release the AGENCy from reimbursing me for my accrued expenses. The company refused to provide reimbursement after several request and finally advised me to have an attorney contact them which I choose not to do. I can empathize with this seller, because after I asked the brokerage to pay a portion of my incurred expenses, I was called a bully. Really??? I was definitely NOT the one telling a 80 year old widow that she must abide by her contract or pay a commission. Somehow it seemed ok for them to place demands on an 80 year old widow, but not an 80 year old widow with dementia, I guess thatβs where they draw the line? Wow! I would expect this kind of treatment from a car salesman, but a real estate...
