I started donating here when I was cleaning out my Mother’s home. I liked that I felt it was helping people and also very easy to donate. I was very disappointed this week with the way the manager handled a situation with me. I took all the remaining items from our participation in the Plain City yard sale and dropped them off. I accidentally included 5 old bottles that were my Mothers that my daughter wanted as a memory. Instead of going back through the drive through and taking them back, I called at 8:00 a.m. the next day. The volunteers were very nice and found them. My sister went to pick them up, and the manager shamed her into donating money because of how much work it took for the volunteers to find the bottles that were standing up in a plastic tote. She gave him $20 and left the store crying after he told her that thieves WEEKLY drive through, see what they want, and call the store “claiming” they “accidentally” dropped off something they didn’t mean to. I went to the store because I thought maybe my sister misunderstood or exaggerated a bit. She did not. He said people WEEKLY call him and lie saying they “accidentally” dropped off something they spotted and really they are just thieves that want that item. I am so disappointed because I know the volunteers that work there do good work. My sister has been going into that thrift store since it was first opened, and she has helped the volunteers while in there. I hate to write a bad review, which is why I put three stars because I believe it is a good store, but I would give the manager zero stars. I am getting ready to downsize from my dublin home and am looking for a new charity...

But why? Everyone(or most) that helps here is a FREE NON PAID volunteer.
Everything this thrift shop sales is donated FREE that is then sold for 100% profit.
I would go on an assumption here to say I bet they are a tax expempt organization. So why are prices going up? Are we now followers of the world?? Church?
Every single penny, evey single dollar is 100% profit. Why do I ask then is a place that claims God, getting greedy? Is this place hurting in any way? I do not think so. I think business is making better revenue than ever in profits. So why? Other than greed? Or bc "other stores are doing it"?? Does that make it okay?
This is how many of us struggling single moms and struggling family have done for our families for a long time. Clothes. Gifts (even if used for birthdays, Christmas etc.)
Did you not think about "these" people? The poorest or even low middle class families that do not get any help but can at least afored to get clothes, toys, house hold needs at a thrift store for their kids/ homes/ families?
Do you not care? It matters. Sometimes it a choice between food, electric bill or good shoes for our children.
If you want to be greedy, separate yourself from God and then be like...
Read moreThe last time I was in I purchased a piece of furniture. You remove the tag from it and pay at the cashier.
After completing my transaction I went to pick up my furniture and carry it outside and some lady started yelling at me that it was hers and she already had a tag for it. Obviously this wasn’t possible since I had pulled the tag when I first came in the store and had my receipt in my hand showing it was paid for.
She had one of the employees with her and it seems like the employee was giving her permission to buy the item and was going to give her another tag. Why would you do this when the employees are the ones that have the system in place to take the tag off in the first place? Obviously if it doesn’t have a tag it’s because someone else is purchasing it. They could also avoid this by putting the two tags, with the bottom one saying SOLD. Neither the employee nor the lady screeching at me offered any kind of explanation or apology.
I have been a longtime loyal customer but I won’t shop anywhere that allows me to be mistreated in their store. I shouldn’t be accosted and made to feel uncomfortable for taking the items I bought...
