For the most part, every employee who Iāve encountered are friendly but this past weekend, the man working, whose name I recall as āSean (possibly Shane)ā was anything but.
Thereād been a customer at the register whoād purchased two full carts of discounted Christmas items. The result being many items needing to be re-rung to reflect the discounted price. Initially, the gentleman was standing at the register with the female cashier, then without looking to see if anyone else was waiting in line, walked into the office ā located behind the register. When after several minutes the female cashier recognized the order she had would take a bit of time, she called the gentleman out to help me. He was visibly annoyed and without so much as a word said, grabbed at my items in annoyance. I then said, in as rude a tone, āIād wait.ā He said not a word but kept ringing in my four items. By now, heād realized I was as annoyed he didnāt want to actually work as he was in being paid to do something he had no interest in doing. At the end of the transaction you can do that survey presented on the screen. I usually leave a five or the highest āsmiling faceā because I reiterate, most every employee there is kind, friendly and helpful. This time, I selected āskipā because unlike Sean or Shane (could have been either or), I didnāt want to react to something without thought.
If you donāt like your job, then simply get another but stop treating people who actually contribute to your hours as though theyāre an annoyance ā as though, somehow they created your reality. Recognize you could quite possibly be burdened by your lack of motivation to do better ā to find a job that excites you. Thatās on you ā not those you encounter. Recognize...

Make you feel like youāre a burden just for showing up at the store, Iāve never felt so unwanted as a customer as this store makes me feel. I live across the street but still drive 15 minutes away causes the customer service and appreciation is non existent at this location. Iāll keep going to the Family Dollar where they actually keep the store stocked and are glad to have my business instead of making me feel bad for showing up and needing to buy stuff. Like Iāve never felt bad for needing to purchase stuff but this store makes me feel like a burden...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA woman there was very rude! Also all the customers. I felt very disrespected. I came in here 2 times and those 2 times she rushed me and the people behind me pushed me out of the way. In line I kept a good distance away from the person in front of me because that's the polite thing to do. I could feel the breath of people behind me for christ sake. As soon has the lady gave me change she would start picking up the other persons things before I had time to get my things or even put my change...
