This is a wonderful market with many options if you’re looking for something different. I have celiac and was excited to learn that all of the sandwiches and flatbreads are available gluten-free! The manager told me about the seasonal flatbread, which sounded amazing and he took the time to make a fresh batch of ingredients so there would be no cross-contamination for my celiac and hands-down it was the best flatbread I’ve ever had. I can’t recall all of the ingredients, but I know there was goat, cheese, fennel, onions, fresh, lemon, and so much more! I cannot wait to be back in the area so that I can try something else...

Be sure to checkout the quality beef they sell from Teets Cattle Company in Hardy County....Prime beef...if you are coming in from Northern VA they have a 20 foot of fresh case of all cuts of beef that you can pick up and enjoy while staying in the mountains of WV. Can't recommend Mountain Owl enough. The ice cream, cookies and sandwiches were great. Italian and roast beef were awesome. Kids loved the grilled cheese Best of all, though, is Nate.
