I want to start about by saying that after my daughter and I had to spend over an hour at our doctors office and then having to drive here and be told by the registering secretary up front that we could expect to be there about an hour for my daughter to get her elbow and forearm x-rayed I was not thrilled. However, the registering secretary was extremely polite and bubbly.I appreciated that she told us what to expect up front to set an expectation. Her estimate was correct.I paid a co-pay prior to my daughter getting her x-ray to another employee and it seemed too high for my insurance.I checked my insurance website and it said the copay should be about 1/3 of what I paid.On my way out I stopped at the front desk and asked Caroline about it.She again was very nice and patient and said she would look into it.She called a different dept. and had to hold why still remaining patient and making us feel good about asking. It took her about 10 minutes, but she completed the refund and apologized, but also commented that she had learned something new.The world needs more people like Caroline. She could’ve easily chose to have a bad attitude and make us feel like we were a burden, but she didn’t.The place was packed and busy yet she took her time to resolve our issue while still helping others while waiting on hold. Then her comment at the end really stuck with me, “I learned something new.”It has been my experience that at most busy medical places like this the desk staff makes you feel like you’re just another person, another task for them to complete while they are busy spinning their plates.I was expecting to get referred to another employee or given a customer service # to call and resolve my issue, but Caroline went above and beyond and took care of it right there.I wish more people could have her attitude and work ethic. The x-ray tech and everyone else did a good job also.I was impressed that a busy medical facility was operating at pretty much normal pace during this Covid-19 crisis.Keep up the good work, and give...
Read moreI had an appointment scheduled on February 14 at 3:30 PM. Following the hospital’s instructions to arrive 15 minutes early, I arrived at 2:40 PM—nearly an hour in advance. Upon arrival, I checked in at the front desk and provided my last name as requested. After checking in, I took a seat and waited for my appointment.
Unfortunately, despite waiting from 3:00 PM until 4:40 PM, my name was never called. Eventually, one of the receptionists noticed me and inquired about my appointment. I explained that I had been waiting, only to find out that the receptionist I initially spoke with had not signed me in.
Once I was finally directed to the ultrasound room, I encountered another issue. My doctor had ordered an abdomen complete ultrasound, but only my left abdomen was examined. The procedure itself lasted less than five minutes, despite my having waited over two hours.
To make matters worse, I received a call from my doctor today informing me that the ultrasound images were unclear. As a result, I now have to repeat the exam, further adding to the inconvenience.
I wanted to bring these concerns to your attention, as the delay, oversight, and inadequate examination caused significant frustration.
Thank you for your time...
