Bluebonnet nudist park is our favorite nudist resort in the DFW area, just a 40 minute drive north of the metroplex. We have been visiting a few times each year since 2016. Bluebonnet is however definitely more of a campground compared to to true resorts like those outside of the US, or in Florida and California. Most of the people who you will meet are the full-time members and residents of Bluebonnet. We have seen visitors of all ages from families with children, to young adults, to older adults. The busiest days are definitely Saturdays and Sundays during the warmer months, holiday weekends, and special event weekends. On weekdays and slower weekends we have at times had the amenities all to ourselves. For a smaller nudist resort, Bluebonnet certainly does have plenty of amenities for an enjoyable day or weekend. There are 2 pools, a covered and screened-in hot tub (our favorite spot), a recently rebuilt sauna, a cozy clubhouse, tennis courts, and walking trails. There are also ample amounts of both sunny spots and shady spots. The only negatives would be that it can be at times difficult to reach the main office since it is not staffed at all times which on arrival can be tricky since you need to call when you are at the gate to be let in but the cellular reception isn’t the best at the entrance. Other than that unfortunately there is no restaurant, snack bar, or bar. However you are welcome to BYOB and food. The owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming,...
Read moreHad a great time there, very natural and the people there can make anybody feel at home, even first timers will feel very comfortable in this place, we went on a weekend so there were plenty of people, but I could say that most folks would trully feel relaxed and "normal" , it is a very accepting place so if you think you can't go there but you want to try, please take the leap and just go, you will enjoy it, besides it is a park not a modeling contest, if you think you don't fit, you do, and don't forget to bring food and drink, if you need to cook your food they have a fully stocked kitchen, bring enough liquids for you and your companions, they do have ice and let you use the fridges there , you will spend the whole day so you need to bring enough, all in all it was better than expected and we will definitely come back really soon, just feel bad that we did not go there last year because of the pandemic, another thing that I forgot to mention they do accept cards, and bring plenty of sunscreen, you are going to need it, also one final note I forgot to mention they do accept single people (males), now I saw people with RVs and camping, for that I don't know, I guess we have to go...
Read moreMy wife and I had talked for years about going to a nudist resort (neither of us had ever done anything like this before... we were "cherries")... but never got around to actually doing it. That all changed a few weeks ago when our daughter was away from home, visiting family on the east coast. After doing some internet research and placing a few phone calls, I decided we would give Bluebonnet a try. My wife and I could not be happier with that decision. We had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend of all time. Bluebonnet is a beautiful little (66 acres)resort with all the amenities you could ask for. And most important of all were the friendly people that we met there. At no time were we ever made to feel like "outsiders" or treated like "strangers" at the resort. The members of Bluebonnet went out of their way to introduce themselves and to inquire if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable. My wife and I were so impressed that we returned the following weekend (this time with our 12 year old daughter!) and at the end of the weekend became Bluebonnet...
