Staff must not be paid very well, they are rude and clearly don't like people from WI. As the forest Agent explained looking at my WI license plate. Sad as every other national forest is such a pleasant place. However, bad staff just ruin it completely. He explained how eventhough this grasslands is part of the National Forest Dept they don't take permits from the national forest dept. Then accused me of not paying. I showed my stub to a now apologetic staff member, I just walked away and went to New Mexico the next day... my...

I have been camping and Trail riding on Horseback at least a dozen times in these grasslands.The lakes provided adequate fishing and frog gigging as well as swimming.Never a dull moment in the grasslands. I plan on taking my kids back there and hope everyone has left it just as pristine as...
