There are many things to love about Hardy Farms. First off is how much they care about your horse. Recently mine stopped eating well (was dropping hay) and they alerted me immediately and then fed him warm mash instead of hay until my vet could get out. The grounds are beautiful with 2 indoor arenas, a huge outdoor arena, trails, fields and lots of dirt roads. My rescue draft is my life, and I feel very confident leaving him in their care. But maybe the best thing is the people. Some places have a lot of drama and that isn't tolerated at Hardy. Case in point: Just recently one boarder was causing a lot of drama and after many failed provisions and suggestions on how to resolve the issues, she ended up moving her horse. That same week the ridiculous Google Review about a horse being shot on the property was posted. Please don't believe everything you read online. I have been boarding there a year and some of the boarders have been there 15+ years (why would they stay if they felt their horse was in danger???). Everyone is so friendly and the staff is knowledgable. It is a (usually) drama-free barn with caring ownership and an amazing facility, at a very...
Read moreI have worked in the past at many, many barns. And I have boarded in a few, as well as having the experience of keeping my own horse on my own property for a time until I moved. I currently board my horse here. The owner ‘Marsha’ cares about each and every one of the horses in her care. Her staff cares 100% the same and are loyal employees. This is about as close to having your horse in it’s own natural environment as you can get. It is a privalidge to keep your horse here. It is rear that a horse has this kind of acreage to let loose in a full out gallop to be themselves and have many choices in who they will hang out with as herd friends. I work a very demanding job and cannot visit my horse as often as I would like. Marsha (alerted by her staff) has been outstanding in alerting me to any issues my horse has had. I Truly appreciate this promptness in which I can call my vet (if necessary) in a timely fashion. For this I am great full. I love that the boarders are friendly and always say hello. On a final note, It’s a beautiful looking...
