Nice visitor center plus self-guided walking / driving tour or take the tram. Only a few dollars paid on the honor system. Be sure to get the guide pamphlet. Mound A is impressive! Also recommend visiting Cahokia outside St. Louis if you enjoy visiting our Indigenous pre-history sites :)

One of the coolest things I've done in Louisiana! We did the hike and it was humid and we should have brought bug spray, but it was still awesome. The staff was informative and even did an atlatl demonstration for us. So interesting and great exercise!

Fun place to visit If you like to be out doors without having to walk too much.. there is a driving path. I appreciated the benches on each level of the largest mound also. The climb is worth the view.
