You can get made to order sandwiches at the deli counter in the back. Grab a slip of paper to write your choices on and turn it in. My family likes to double the meat. It's such a small price to upgrade.

The fridges have a great selection of cold items. Cheese curds and birch beer are favorites.

Don't forget your local baked goods. Just double-check the dates. During summer, items go fast due to weekenders. Try to go early in the morning by Thursday if you want...

So much for helping strangers in need. Travelers from far away, in DESPERATE need of a bathroom, stopping there b/c the sign said OPEN and the lights were all on. Walk to the door- locked, lights mostly off, 2 women sweeping up- 15 minutes before their posted closing! I have no issue with an earlier closing, but when I knocked on the door (desperate) the younger woman looked me in the eye and walked out of view! I'm sure they are nice folks normally, but BOY did they miss an opportunity to do...

I have stopped here every time I am in the area. I used to shop here when I was a child and would ride my horse to the store to buy a soda. It has changed since then (1970s) and I think I love it more. The deli is to die for. The subs are the best I've ever had. The homemade quilts and clothes and bags are too cute. I bought the clothes pin bag and use it every day. The people are super friendly. I'm going to use them for my Mom's memorial dinner...
