Arrived 4/29 for a 4/30 0530am appointment and checked in. You have to check in on a computer in the booth first then confirm the information that you put into the computer with the guard. You also have to scan paperwork into that same computer which they have a scanner right next to computer. Once guard confirms all your info po# truck and trailer. You have fill out paperwork with door number once your assigned it, then you have to wait in what they call “bull pin” which is a huge parking lot which is a holding area. They do allow over night parking which was awesome being that I came a day early. Once your waiting, they text and or call you with your door number. You pull your truck up to guard shack to confirm the door you were told and go to that door. They wanted me to put paperwork in trailer before docking up. I had ice cream that I delivered just to let you know. Once I docked up, unloader happened to be outside on a break. He turned reefer off and I asked why, he said personal preference for the unloader and or it was too cold in trailer, but to not worry I was going to be unloaded fast. I got a text with a link to click on. It showed me my paperwork work. I looked at the light and it was green and I was good to go. I hit the dock at 630am and was back at guard shack to check...
Read moreHeads-up truck drivers!!! You will wait way longer than usual at this facility. The check in process works perfect, you go to a big touch screen and do you check in. They tell you that you are gonna get a text with your door. Perfect till you have a appointment at 1 am. They text you at 4 am with your dock and at 8 am you are still in the dock untouched. I called and politely asked when do they think I could get out unloaded. They're answer was to hung up the phone. I called back and told them that this in not the way you do business and the answer was that I was stacked behind another truck and that's the reason why I'm still here. And to go inside an ask. What that even means? Are we some kind of fools? I strongly advise everyone to not get another load for the next day and if possible don't get any loads to deliver at this facility. P.S I had a load in Tipp City Ohio at another Meijer Distribution Center and the only difference was that I was assigned with a dock 1 h before my appointment but got unloaded after 10 hours. I don't know how others got in and out fast but I am very disappointed. I hope I will get money for this hold up. Stay safe...
Read moreDon't judge a book by its cover! I read reviews for this place and felt frightened that I'm going to a lion's den. To make it worst I arrived there only to discover that my delivery appointment which I thought was Thursday morning at 6.00am is actually to be 24 hours later at 6.00am on Friday. I was thrown out of balance not knowing what step to take. After a long wait, having checked in and not called to a door I decided to approach the officers at the security check point to ask for help. And help came, the woman I spoke with made contacts with the receiving desk to explain my situation, good enough they promised to help unload me as soon as possible. About 1hour later I was called to go to door 428 to get unloaded. Though it took like 3 hours to complete unloading I couldn't complain about that because I have been done a big favour. I'm grateful to everyone who took part in the efforts to get me done a day earlier than my appointment. Also, I wish to chip in a word of advice that there's a reason to device a method that will not delay truckers at the door more than 2 hours maximun. Once again thank you for your service, may God...
