Altogether we had a positive experience at this venue. It was very affordable with beautiful rooms to decorate. We had a little hiccup at the beginning when we chose a date and after signed papers, we were told they had to change it because they had accidentally booked another event and I could no longer book that due to not having chairs/tables to give me. We ended up moving our day and around a wedding ceremony hour to ensure my guests did not interrupt the wedding (which was happening literally by the main front entrance). We ended up setting up while the ceremony was happening so there was no issues. This is where I put the 4 star review. I was originally told (in person) that they had a 3 pipes and drapes package I could rent, which I opted for doing. I was then told I could only receive 2 because of said wedding happening the same day. However I paid for what i was explained was full price of 3 sets when I could only get 2. I brushed it off and also added the speaker, microphone package. The day of the baby shower, the pipes and drapes were not in the room, no speakers or mic was set up and there was nobody to ask about how to use the tvs I was told I could use for visuals. My hosts had to go fishing for admin all over the venue until we found someone to come help us and we were already about an hour out of the two we paid for to set up. At some point I told a staff member that I felt like they forgot all about my event because they were concerned about the other small wedding happening on the other side of the building. I was also advised that we would have to use a "side door" for my guests to enter because they couldn't have my guests interrupting the wedding. Therefore in an email and in person I was told that they would have staff members to guide my guests to the right room. Every guest that entered my event made a comment about how they got lost and they didn't have a single staff member at the main entrance to tell them where to go. That in itself was frustrating because it seemed my even was completely forgotten about although I had already jumped through hoops to ensure I was not in the way of the wedding. Ultimately my even came out perfect and we had no issues cleaning up and leaving 20 mins before my last hour was up. Will I rebook with this place? Good chance I will. But I will ensure next time that I have an event plan for the day of and demand they follow through with what was promised to ensure less stress the day of, especially when it was a baby shower and we had to be running around because we had no way of contacting staff unless we found them...

I had to contact them 3 different (I reached out on Facebook and Instagram as well) times before someone finally spoke with me - and even then I was advised someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. I never heard anything so I again called back a couple days later. I finally got someone named Daisy who told me the dates I wanted were booked. So, we spent about 30 minutes on the phone going over the dates that were. We settled on a date for my baby shower and a meeting room. It was more expensive than the room I originally wanted, but whatever. I really wanted to have my baby shower here. I was then told I would receive an invoice, which I would need to sign and return. Once they received the invoice, I would then get the contract that I would then have to sign and return. Once they received the contract I would receive the link to put the deposit down. Okay, great! I had to call 3 days later to finally get the invoice emailed to me. Then it went silent and I had to then email again a few days later to ask if they even received the signed invoice. I was advised they were sorry and were a little behind. Okay, that's fine. Well, I finally get the contract - I sign it and return it. It is now the 2nd week of April and I still have yet to hear back from them as to whether they even got the signed 4 page contract they wanted from me. I refuse to jump through hoops for a business that clearly doesn't want to give me the time of day. I was going to be paying well over $500 for a meeting room with a party package for a 3 hour baby shower! I was going to even have my daughter's sweet 16 here next year but will now be looking for other venues to host my daughter's party as I can not trust this place will even communicate with me. I have since emailed The Center and told them I will not be doing business with them for my baby shower. I won't give my business to a company that clearly doesn't care about the customer. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Read moreIt was my first time here. I came because my friends were performing so I came to see them. When I walked in, we were greeted by the director who explained that they were doing sound check but they would be ready for us shortly. As we waited, she directed to the bathrooms and the area for drinks if we chose to indulge as we waited. The area that we waited in was beautiful!!! You were able to see your reflection in the slate floors and there was a separate section not used for that night that could be used for a smaller venue. When we were able to enter our seating area, I was even more enamoured with the large ball room and stage setup. This would be a fabulous facility to hold corporate meetings, large group weddings, or other events needing space. The parking is convenient as well as the entrance to get inside, which is important if there are any disabled patrons.
