Beautiful venue, been to two wedding receptions and one wedding ceremony here. Two stars because of the incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience I had with the bride and groom attendant, Penny. I understand she’s been there 17 years and no one has ever complain, but there’s always room for a first.

My best friend got married there two weekends ago and I was the MOH. She had some things go wrong (some related to WO, some not) so I was in the private suite consoling them. Penny comes in and rudely kicks me out of the room (bride stood up for me.) outside, I confronted penny and told her I did not appreciate that, she got argumentative and walked away saying “you haven’t seen rude.” I was SHOCKED by this because I was under the impression this was a nice establishment, and this is not the kind of response I would’ve expected. I am all for keeping the same energy that the customer is giving you, especially if I was being a “Karen,” but I was not ugly to her in any way, yet she was to me and to another bridesmaid. I emailed their sales manager, Jordan, making her aware of my issue, and I got a dismissive “thanks for your feedback” email without an apology. I work in management and a simple “so sorry for your bad experience, I will look into that” would’ve sufficed.

My recommendation is to be aware of how you speak to people and remember that sometimes hearing someone’s frustrations and giving an apology...

White Oak Estate & Gardens gave our daughter the wedding day of her dreams—start to finish, it was perfect. We planned for a full year, and Jordan was a true partner throughout. She was readily available for every question (big and small) and offered thoughtful suggestions that made the day flow beautifully. Her calm, can-do approach gave us total confidence. The venue itself is stunning and so well maintained—our guests who traveled from several different states couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was. Cocktail hour was a hit: plenty of space to mingle, attentive bartenders, and delicious appetizers. We heard compliments all night about how great the food was. The day-of coordinators and staff deserve a special shout-out. They were everywhere we needed them to be without being intrusive—checking on the bride and groom, making sure both sets of parents had what we needed, and anticipating details before we even asked.
