Would not recommend,I began negotiating with Lauren via text, she/they low balled me on my trade and said it was based on the JD Power. Ok fine they are giving me low end value. The camper they were selling was way over JD power so I made a very fair offer based on JD power and Lauren instantly replied no and no counter. I ended talking to the GM Bob and he did give me a deal which was a better deal than what I had already offered that Lauren turned down. I agreed to the terms and purchased the camper on March 15, 2023. Having bought other used campers, the sales person has always gone through everything on the camper with me, well not at driftwood, I was told there it is you can check it out. The salesperson told me he would be out helping another customer, but when i was ready I could go to see the closing person. I went though everything myself found an issue on the roof, took a while but found the sales person and the roof was addressed. I went inside and closed on the unit, was given the keys and told I could hook up and go. When I have purchased other units, the techs would come out and help set up the hitch height and distribution kit. Not here, I was left to do everything on my own, luckily having seen if from prior purchases I had a pretty good idea on how to set it up. I had no one check on me or help in any way. On previous purchases I was also given a starter kit, again not at Driftwood. Before I left i went in to ask if there was a 50amp adapter i could purchase, after the salesman got off the phone he walked me to the parts department. I wish I remembered the gentlemans name there because he knows customer service. He walked out to my unit and explained everything I would need to hook the camper up to electric at my house. He spent time with me and got me all set up. I drove off and thought wow, that was worse than buying off a private seller, they had zero care about the sale. Fast forward to April 11, I was traveling that weekend and my temp tag was expiring, I called Craig in the closing department and asked for my registration and title, he said he would send in out the next day priority. He sent me a picture of the registration and title so I could use. I inquired a week later as to where the title and registration was. Craig said that he didnt receive the title from the lein holder from the unit I traded and he would be holding my title and registration until he got it. I signed power of attorney for him to purchase my unit, pay off the bank and do the paper work. I purchased the unit cash from him and he was going to hold the paper work on something that I no own. He quickly realized the unit I sold to him was his and he was responsible to asking the bank where the title is, he quickly sent my title and registration when he realized he was wrong. I had the decency to contact the bank to confirm he did send the payoff and that the title was being sent, they confirmed. Craig also told me later that day the title on my trade arrived. I went out of my way to help them even though that wasn't my problem. But the nail in the coffin for me, on the buyers order a line item "title and registration", they charged me $80 as an estimate on my registration and title work. The total cost was $64.50. I emailed Craig and asked when I would expect my $15.50 and he I would not get any money back because I was charged (in that line item labeled "registration and title" a "$10 trade title transfer and $5.50 for a temporary tag". Really, that isnt registration or title they are separate fees. I also found out that a temporary tag in NJ is only $5.00 so they are over charging for that as well. I am not sure why they are charging me for my trade title, the seller doesn't pay for title work, they buyer does. although this is only $15.50 they are trying to rob me of my money after providing zero customer service. After I called Craig out, he quickly deferred for me to call his GM Bob, except Bob was away for a few days. I emailed Craig a follow up question and...
Read moreIn November 2022, our family bought two Rockwood Travel Trailers from Driftwood RV and couldn't be happier.
Our salesman was very knowledgeable of the products and took his time to explain everything about the process and answer all of our questions. The staff was very accommodating and took a trade on an older motorhome that really helped seal the deal on one of our purchases. Even though both were purchased and paid for in November, we weren't able to take delivery of one of them right away, due to a medical issue. They allowed us to postpone delivery until the following April without any additional charges.
In both cases, when we picked up our RVs, the service staff did a fantastic job of preparing them. While we were finalizing the deal and going through the walkthrough, they setup the hitch and brake controller on the trucks, so that we could just go when we were ready.
On the day of the walkthroughs, the service manager Tom, did an awesome job of showing us exactly how everything works. Everything was plugged in and running. He took the time to go over EVERY system, feature, function, appliance, cabinet etc, everything! From lighting the range, to hooking up power to showing us how the blinds worked.
We left knowing quite a bit more about our RVs and had a much higher confidence than I thought we would.
Side note, when you are planning the walkthrough of your new RV, make sure you have at least one other person go with you, take video if you can or at least take notes. A couple of weeks before the walkthrough is scheduled, start watching YouTube videos of the same or similar model RV. Look for sales walkthroughs, pickup walkthroughs, how to tow, park, level, setup and break down camp, maintenance, winterizing, tire care whatever you can find about similar RVs. This will prepare you for your walkthrough and you won't have to worry about remembering everything, only the stuff you didn't already know. In addition, you will be able to ask questions that you wouldn't ask because now you have a level of familiarity you might not have had otherwise.
The point is that the more you know going in, the more advanced stuff they'll be able to teach you on the walkthrough and the more prepared you'll be.
The whole sales process was quite pleasant.
No RV is perfect when you first buy them and there are bound to be warranty issues. We had some minor issues on one RV and Driftwood has fixed them under warranty, did an excellent job on the repair, and didn't make us wait the whole summer to complete the work. Once they even turned around a leak in under 10 days!
We store one of our Travel Trailers there in their outdoor storage facility. The storage has controlled access and looks like there is plenty of security around. We feel very confident that our RV is safe there.
Oh and when you buy an RV from Driftwood RV Center, they also include two free nights at their sister campground, Driftwood Too RV Resort, up the street. This is a great idea for helping you to get to know your new RV. They are close enough to help if anything comes up, or you need to run out and buy something.
We bought a 2023 Rockwood GeoPro G20FBS, and a 2022 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2911BS. Both have been excellent for us and we really love our Rockwood Travel Trailers. The 2911BS had the few minor issues but the GeoPro has been perfect! It gets used at least once a month for a week and it has had zero issues. I highly recommend Rockwood RVs. The quality, fit, finish and features of Rockwood RVs are as good as or better than the other brands. You won't be disappointed with a Rockwood and you definitely won't be disappointed if you buy it from Driftwood RV Center.
We had an excellent sales experience and our ongoing relationship has been stellar as well. We Will definitely buy from Driftwood RV...
Read moreUPDATE: We still do not have our camper and it has been 36 weeks our camper has been @ Driftwood for repair. We dropped it off on September 17th 2020
Absolutely deplorable service from the general manager and the service manager. We were in cape May New Jersey on vacation, on September 17, 2020 we had an accident with our Rv. We were able to find Driftwood RV center and get it there damage and all I asked if they could do the repairs I was assured that they not only could but would, little did I know that decision would be the worst decision of my life. The service team was asked to do an estimate of the damages to submit to the insurance company, there was little to no movement for the remainder of 2020 largely due to concerns with COVID, I admit I found this frustrating but it was beyond their control. Finally in late January we received the long awaited estimate. I submitted it to the insurance company there were some questions they had for a representative from Driftwood once that was worked out I was sent the funds, I then sent the check in full to driftwood. I was told that once the check was received the parts would be ordered, they would be delivered to Driftwood in 4 to 6 weeks, from there the repairs would be made and we would be able to pick it up in April 2021, the check was cashed February 17, 2021 at the 6 week mark from there I call for a progress update only to be told that not all the parts have been received. But wait you told me 4 to 6 weeks. So obviously April pick up was not going to happen. Then i'm told the camper was going in the shop Monday May 3 2021 and the "tentative" pick up date is now Wednesday May 12 2021. I E mailed on Thursday May 6 2021 to confirm the pick up date on Wednesday May 12 only to be told that the metal side piece that was received was the incorrect size and they were working on a resolution, had I not contacted them would they have contacted me before we headed to Driftwood on Wednesday May 12? Finally out of growing frustration I reached out to the general manager. On Wednesday May 12 we had what I thought was a good conversation where he admitted that looking back there were some things that were beyond their control and some things that they could have done better. I had a renewed confidence that this would end quickly and favorably. However those hopes were quickly dashed on Tuesday when as the saga continues only now there is a new twist, the general manager is perpetuating the continued lies and excuses. Thursday May 20 2021will mark 36 weeks that our camper has been at Driftwood awaiting the repairs to be completed with no end in sight.
hopefully you will have a better experience than we have had, but please be advised read the reviews,
We have had our camper here for several weeks and we are still waiting for the appraisal on the damage. We keep getting put off and it is now 5 weeks since we dropped it off. I sincerely ask you to think twice before leaving your camper here for any kind of work. Very disappointing and wish we had searched for a place to get the...
