I had a great experience all around with the Wise staff at different facilities. I first went into urgent care, and based on my condition they considered my case as an emergency care. I was shocked to learn that I needed surgery that very day. I was beyond overwhelmed at the news. I had hoped my abdominal pain was minor and the right prescription would get me going on the road to recovery soon. The entire staff was so kind and accommodating. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and my nurse hugged me when she saw the fear in my eyes as I waited to get wheel chaired over to the surgical unit across the parking lot. Fast forward to the surgery experience, top notch care all around! I met with the surgical staff (nurse, anesthesiologist and surgeon). The nurses were professional and kind, and my surgeon was amazing! He was kind, thoughtful, and very patient in talking to me about my procedure. I even remember after surgery him drawing me a diagram and talking me through the complication they came across during surgery. I had questions and was worried about my situation. I really appreciated the time he took to explain everything. He put me at ease with his gentle demeanor. I was at the surgical unit for 3 days/2 nights and through my time there I got to know some of the nurses that were assigned to me. I really enjoyed my light walks with them and getting to know them. They were all very genuine and really cared that I was comfortable during my stay there and who I was as a person. Now a days that is so hard to come by. Read moreTheir billing department seems to be able to hide themselves pretty well so I have to leave my review here, I got three versions of a bill from these people, one in the mail, one online, and one over the phone. Each one had a different amount. The paper bill charged a certain amount, the one the lady told me over the phone was double that, and the one online was zero. It wasn't until I had the lady on the phone check that she realized I was billed double and it was set back down to the amount on paper. This system is absolutely ridiculous, now I just have to trust that they charged me correctly and won't be sending any more. On top of that after having physical therapy at one of their locations I was already charged copay by my insurance and another fee by the building they share with the initial company I was dealing with, I've never told wise health was the one operating the physical therapy department and that they would be sending me a third bill. Getting billed by three different people for one service is beyond stupid and archaic. If this is the way the private sector handles health care maybe it should be put in the hands of the government, something I wasn't initially inclined to agree with. Read moreEDITED TO ADD: Though I had a wonderful experience at the facility, unfortunately their BILLING DEPARTMENT is an absolute NIGHTMARE. THEY filed a claim in error with my insurance, after taking payment for a bundled amount with MD SAVE- it caused an issue with my deductible, OOP Max, etc., and I am now receiving bills from an additional company (which SHOULD NOT happen- they are bundled so there are no extra costs involved) and their billing "specialist" Azia either doesn't understand how basic billing works OR she's just normally this rude and dismissive. The billing issue will be resolved, but no thanks to any assistance from WISE- they are AWFUL. From the initial scheduling of my appointment to checking out and all of the details in between- the process was seamless! These girls are amazing! Landree was friendly and helpful with scheduling and going over costs. Ashley my rad tech was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, personable and kind! This was my first experience at this facility and I couldn’t have asked for it to have been better!
