The Antique Experience — Local services in Denton

Took my wife here for a little outing on her Birthday. We have seen this Antique Mall several times on our way to the Casino so we finally stopped. Awesome place to experience some unique history. Everything was well displayed and not overcrowded like other antique stores and the best part is they are not overpriced. They provide a layaway program for most any budget and the owner and staff are amazing.

Once your in here it's hard not to be taken back to your childhood because you will eventually see something that takes you back weather it be an old lunch box, picture, furniture, record player. This store is rich in history and makes you wonder exactly what the person was like that originally had that item and the history behind it..... anyway we found an antique dresser and mirror my wife fell in love and put on layaway until we had room for it. We will definitely be back...

My advise to anyone here is to bring in a professional to check out your items before you buy it. You may get dirty looks, but it's not worth the hassle of you buy a defective product and try to return it. Most people are not expert carpenters and expect items in there to be tested before they are sold.

Got a beautiful table from this place and a few chairs. Had some issues with the chairs and it was a bit of a hassle taking them back after one broke the first day. There is some merit to the few reviews of people saying they felt like criminals while they were in there. They are super friendly and polite, but can be kind of condescending too. Don’t come here! I was shopping in store and had a vendor follow me around the store 10 minutes until closing time making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. They also turned the lights off on me and claimed they didn’t know I was still in the store; however, they’d already rang my items up, so that doesn’t make sense. Not to mention, I was in the parking lot 8 minutes after closing because my car wouldn’t start, and three of the employees stared at me, followed me across the parking lot in their car, and confronted me about looking “suspicious.” I was racially profiled, harassed, and scared to leave after the fact for fear of being followed.
