I came here a couple months back with some family and I’m writing now because this place was just recently brought to my attention again, so here’s my review.. The people who ran the place seemed friendly enough, but I was disturbed about what I saw (wish I had taken a picture). There was a horse in the way back of the farm all by itself living in a very small fenced in area that was riddled with trash. Like dangerous trash, such as old metal pieces and broken fences, plastic and other random things. The horse looked skinny, unhealthy and depressed, it didn’t even move at all when we approached and kept its head down the entire time. We saw the ducks, and their living conditions were also small for the amount of ducks they had and it was completely disgusting. Same with the rabbits, extremely small living conditions, way too many in a small space. I can only imagine what condition the other animals were living that we didn’t manage to see. It was the end of the day and the farm was closing up. I witnessed two young girls load up some small animals into a wheelbarrow that they had out for guests to ”pet”. One of the girls picked up a small piglet, which gave them struggle, and then she proceeded to toss the piglet back down onto the ground, giving it a hard landing and knocked it over. The girl glanced at me, she looked guilty for the way she just treated the animal. I left this place wondering how they can allow the animals to live this way. I’ll certainly never forget that horse living way back there all alone amongst all the trash. They should be shut...
Read moreThis year, we headed to Fox Run Acres Farm & Petting Zoo in Deptford, New Jersey to celebrate my sons birthday, and what a truly unforgettable experience it was.
Fox Run Acres offers an incredible value for families. Admission is only $10 per person (children under 1 are free), and it even includes a 5 oz. cup of food for the animals. For just a bit more, kids can enjoy pony rides for $7 and unlimited bouncing fun at the bounce houses for only $5.
The variety of activities here is fantastic! They have pony rides, bounce houses, two playgrounds, and a wide range of animals to interact with, including turtles, chickens, peacocks, donkeys, pigs, llamas, and even emus. And the fun doesn’t stop there—next week they’re adding hayrides and pumpkin painting!
The hours are perfect for weekend outings:
• Fridays: 10 am - 2 pm • Saturdays & Sundays: 11 am - 4 pm
While we were there, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Brian. He greeted us warmly and even took the time to teach us a bit about turtles. It was such a personal touch that made our visit even more special.
Fox Run Acres is a gem for family fun, and we can’t wait to go back! Thank you...
Read moreThis place is awesome. Exceeded all of our expectations. It’s family owned and all the employees were extremely nice and passionate about serving their guests. The animals were all very happy and lively just like the employees. They have a food cart with hotdogs and pretzels which is very affordable. The entry fee was very affordable. To top it off the owner stopped us when we were leaving and gave us a heartfelt thank you for deciding to stop by his establishment. He shared his vision with us and how he’s wants people to be able to have an outting with their kids without being squeezed. He also mentioned that he prides himself on keeping it in the family so he can keep cost down. They have baby animals and adult animals. My favorite animals were bacon and pork roll the baby piglets they have. 😂😂. They also have pony rides and bounce houses. Please America this is the type of place we need to patronize. We gotta make sure this business makes it in the end it’s up to us whether or not this place lasts. Tell everybody and if you work in education book a field trip there. Me and my family will be back with more...
