Spring Creek Model Trains — Local services in Deshler

I thought I would never have a chance to make it the actual store. I was able to travel through Nebraska this past week and made a Detour. It was well worth everything you have heard about the store and staff at Spring Creek Model Trains. The inventory was Crazy! I had ordered several times online and had never been disappointed. Being in the store, I wasn’t either. The staff went out of there way to make sure my detour was worth it. I was able to set and talk Steel mills with the owner, he is into steel mill pretty heavy. I was able to tell him about my father who was an Engineer for 36 years at our home town mill. They made sure I found what I was looking and I appreciate it beyond all gratitude. A great mail order experience. Spring Creek have an excellent website. Very clear and easy to navigate. Each listing has a nice big clear photo, a short description and if applicable, a multi choice list of road numbers. I also like fact that the postage cost is displayed at the checkout, as not all model retailers advise carriage costs in advance. This is very benifical to me as I live in the UK and carriage can be cost prohibitive. The ordering process was clear and simple. My order was very well packaged and was sent very swiftly. In the middle of nowhere, and not much around it in town to see, but it is a superb model Railroading store!!! I had shopped with them at train shows in Denver and Cheyenne for years, but finally made the trek to the store itself this spring. So much stock and variety- everything for HO and N scales. Now even some O gauge. Hope they add Lionel and MTH soon. Yes, it's out of the way, but very well worth the trip. Hard to find items, newest releases, discounted pricing, pre ordering all are here.
