First time taking a deer to a processor, I chose this place because it was close to me. Lady at the front desk is nice. The euro mount I had done turned out excellent and the sausage taste great. Was told my order would be ready in two weeks so me being excited, I called to check on my order two weeks later. The man said (I think it was the owner) they're working on it and will call when completed. Ended up taking over two more weeks to get finished. One thing rubbed me the wrong way, when I got home after picking up my order I noticed they charged me $10 for changing my order (two days after dropping off deer) but okay I get it, and $5 for calling to check on order status. I contacted the owner to ask why, because I've never heard of a company charging for a status check. He told me how HUGE of an issue it is for him to check order status and that if he loses a customer because of a $5 charge then he doesn't want that customer. Funny, since I had just spent almost $500 at his store, and had also brought two friends with me who spent in total about $450. Customer service is very important to me and this guy has a lack of care for the customer. Will take my money elsewhere. Suggestion for the business, give more accurate time frames to the customer and drop the "slap in...

Unprofessional wants to charge me for how much the deer weighed field dressed. Not for amount of meat actually taken in. Wants full amount for meat up front! Then maybe issue a refund if it ends up being less. Deer was 140lbs field dressed. shes going off that weight. When deer was going to be taken to her with the head and hide off. So it was going to weigh less. Last year was fine. Took my deer there paid the $100 deposit and rest when I picked up my meat.

How do I know I'm getting exactly what I pay for? She can charge me full amount not issue back a dime and say "you had x amount of sausage, summer etc." Just so it can equal out to what she says. When in reality she can give you .75 lb packs of meat but charging you for 1lb. How would you know? Who's going to individually weigh every single pack.

Customer service and way they want to run their business now is the reason for the 1 star rating.

On the other hand venison fajitas here are great. Chorizo is great. I wanted to try their summer sausage this year and their brisket/venison ground meat.

Shame they want to run their business like this now (give me $600 now and if it's less ill give you money back) and they want to go off of different weights instead of what the meat taken in...

DO NOT BUY A WHOLE COW OR HALF COW OR QUARTER COW. Please save yourself time and money. It is much cheaper to buy at a grocery store. Their actual unit price was 30% to 100% more expensive than what you would pay at the grocery store.

This is my experience buying 2 half cows from them. Their front line staff is very professional and friendly. The cuts of meat look fresh and are vacuum sealed but were extremely small for premium cuts (7 to 10 ounces a unit).

The pricing is extremely deceptive. You are charged for something called hanging weight, but you are not told that over the phone. You will pay nearly double that price on the actual meat you take home. Weigh the meat yourself and confirm you are getting the unit price you were told.

If you try to get a refund for their deceptive practices, they will act like you are in the wrong, and only offer a partial refund.

They also charge extra for paying with a card but won't refund that extra charge and claim they are the ones who paid it, despite the contrary showing up on...
