This rest area has a much kinder work crew. The signs were clearly posted of where to and where not to walk the dogs. And they had outside water access! I was very pleased. It’s amazing how a few miles can make a difference in the quality of our rest areas. Tony and another worker were very kind to me and it was greatly appreciated. I also met a fellow traveler, Renee and her sister Joy. Renee and I spoke for a while and I enjoyed our conversation. Earlier we had an encounter with two stray dogs and we worked together along with another lady named Lenny to get them home safely. I could not rest in the rest area. It saddens me to say this. Its a fraction of my life I will never get back. I will say they have clean restrooms and landscape is tidy. A trucker told me about his cross country trips and I educated him on how damaging fossil fuels are. He chased me around the parking lot and pushed me in the grass. I got up and ran up a tree. Trucks have a hard enough time finding a safe place to park! Especially when 4 wheeler's disrespect the parking instructions! It clearly states Cars to the left, and Trucks to the right!
