The Tuckaseegee as it's called is a river that runs through Jackson and Swain Countys. The average water flow in the Jackson County stretch varies from 75 to 600 Feet per second depending on how much water Duke Energy is letting out that day. There are some Apps and websites to see when they are going to generate electricity. Over 275 CFS. Is perfect for Drift Boat Trout Fishing or a Day of Wading. The Bryson City area is wider and a bit more challenging. The water flow will be 900 to 3000 CFS. And don't forget to stop by The Tuckaseegee Fly Shop if you have any questions about fishing the Tuck. You can catch Rainbow Trout and see Bald Eagle's fly overhead. Clear clean Sparkling water.
