I used to rave on the freshness, quality, and value in the meat department. I frequently took advantage of their complimentary custom cutting and packaging service where regardless of who was working my order was always fulfilled expertly. Now I struggle to find a decent looking pack of pork chops and the custom service I received wasn't even close to how I asked them to do it. I am also disgusted to see way too much meat marked down on the verge of spoilage because I know that the expense of such waste will work it's way into prices elsewhere. I'm seeing a similar pattern of waste in the produce section. As I checked out recently a couple employees wandered aimlessly past the registers, one looking at his phone. I felt like that was unprofessional but realized they could be on break, however before she even finished ringing me up my cashier stopped to get on her phone too. Read moreCustomer Service is top notch in the Dixon Store. Understandably so, It is hard for a smaller chain of grocers to compete with larger chains on prices and variety. Meat packages per lb are less in the 5/$25 deal and the variety rarely changes. However, the meat department accepts specialized orders to fit your family's needs and the meat is fresh. Parking could easily be enforced. I was almost hit by a car as i walked across a NO PARKING lane in front of the store where a customer "ran in for a minute" and didn't see me. Manager stated they do not enforce it. I am small and couldn’t even imagine what would happen if this could have been a child. So they should definitely enforce the no parking areas for liability and public safety. The convience store is wonderful bonus! Read moreI am absolutely appalled at the treatment we received. We are in the biggest UHAUL available with a trailer attached hauling another vehicle. This alone is very stressful. We stopped at this store to fuel up and let our dog out for a bit and take a minute to check on our cargo. We pulled away from the pump way over to the north east corner/curve to be out of everyone's way to do that. We spent $130 and there maybe 30 minutes and a chubby reddish haired glasses wearing female came out and told us we needed to leave because we would be blocking the trucks! Which we made sure we were out of anyone's way. Needless to say we will never be back and that woman should be fired! A prime example of how NOT TO TREAT YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS!
