Harris Park Ice Arena — Local services in Dodgeville

Nothing special. The building is HOT inside during summer months. Even with side walls raised it has no breeze. Dead air circulates and you can easily get heat exhaustion or heat stroke. I did.

I think they need major improvements for health sake. Maybe, they need to invest in heavy industrial ceiling fans or air conditioning. Something NEEDS to be done.

Old school ice arena. The bad: the locker rooms are small, the stands are few and the arena is cold. The good: It's cold, staff is friendly and the food is good. The menu is pretty large for an ice arena. The hot chocolate tasted good by arena standards. I recommend the walking tacos. From what I understand the rink is run by volunteers and they do a good job considering some places pay their staff and they can't...

Honestly I love Harris Park Ice Rink. The staff is amazing and camps for kids are great. The facility is a little dated, but not a deal breaker by any means. Free open skate, $6 rentals if you don’t own. Kids trainers are much nicer than your typical rink, like Middleton.
