Dollar General — Local services in Donnellson

Never had a single bad thing to say about this place until this morning. I went in around 8:40am during their remodel which is my bad I didn’t see any sign on the outside of the doors saying they were closed permanently for that. only the normal one of being opened from 8am-10pm or something like that. Whoever was wearing the tan shirt with dirty blonde hair and seemed like the manager or boss or whatever was rude and distasteful and acted quite stuck up. I walked in and was told they were closed in an extremely rude way and was told that there were obviously signs posted on the door to tell me that (doors that were held open due to them carrying things in and out). My mistake; I apologized and told her I didn’t see it and I tried to ask her when they would be opened back up again because I wasn’t aware that they’d be closed all together and she was very dismissive with me as a person let alone someone who was a customer. Very disappointed in the fact that that’s how we chose to carry ourselves and act towards other people when they made a mistake or when something wasn’t clearly posted because the website online also says that they are opened still. Maybe just make those signs or something a little more clearer for the people who don’t go very often and have some compassion for strangers stop taking your misery out on...

I really like our Dollar General here in Canton,Mo, I would have rated it a 5 instead of 4, for one thing, there manager is very arrogant ,(those are my thoughts) the rest of the staff are very friendly and obliging to help you, but this is a new manager and she has no idea how to deal with the Public, this like I said my opinion only, she might be a nice person outside of there but whenever you ask for something or need help I sense the customer is a...

I just want to give a huge shoutout to the assistant manager Janice and giver her recognition for everything she has done! Having a conversation with her, shes the sweetest lady you can run into. She needs more recognition and kindness then she gets. Walking into the store and being in there for a good 25 minutes, seeing her work her butt off is definitely an inspiration and any company is lucky to have her!
