I concur with all of the other positive reviewers. Tigertail Airboat Tours is where it's at! The last time I was in the Everglades, I booked a solo tour through Gator Park I found on Groupon. You get what you pay for! One thing to note is that the headphones to protect your ears are MUCH better and higher quality at Tigertails as compared to Gator Park
Our family of 5 went on a private 1 hour tour with Tristan as our guide and it was wonderful. What I didn't like about Gator park was that it felt "touristy" and I didn't like how they were picking up the gators and it felt like it was all for show. Whereas at Tigertail, the animals that they have they are raising what seems to be sustainably, to free in the wild - except for those that can' be released for either their safety, or the safety of the Everglades they are releasing to. Tristan even explained that they do not feed any of the animals that they raise - as in yes they provide the food, but they provide it in a way that the animal needs to learn how to hunt - just as they would in the wild.
The airboat rides are so fun, sometimes felt like we were drifting on the water! We saw plenty of nature and wildlife, and so many beautiful lily pads, some of which were starting to bloom. Tristan is a local native, and shared information about the local Native American tribe along with the environment.
This was a highlight of our trip, everyone enjoyed it - I would...
Read moreFrom the moment the airboat glided across the shimmering waters of the Everglades, I knew this would be an unforgettable experience. The sun cast golden light over the endless sawgrass, the warm breeze carrying the earthy scent of the wetlands as we picked up speed.
Umberto, our expert guide and driver, navigated the twisting waterways with skill, effortlessly weaving through mangroves and marshes, making every turn feel like a dance with nature. The thrill of the ride was balanced by moments of pure serenity—pausing in the middle of the river of grass, where time seemed to stand still.
Then came the real magic. We spotted an alligator just beneath the surface, majestic wading birds took flight overhead, their wings catching the light in breathtaking displays. The experience was raw, wild, and completely immersive.
Tigertail Airboat Tours delivered the perfect blend of adventure and education, making me feel connected to this stunning landscape in a way I never expected. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or a nature lover, this tour is an absolute must. I’ll...
Read moreThis place was recommended by close friends who had previously had a wonderful experience!
We arrived at 11am and were told they would have us on a boat at 11:45, we came back at that time and she told us the boat was running 15 minutes behind. 1.5 hours later, we were still waiting for our boat! She did refund us 20$ for the wait, but there was no honesty about the timing. If she had just told us that the boats were reserved and it would be another hour we would have gone and done some sightseeing, yet every 10 minutes she was telling us that the next boat was ours… it was not. So we wasted over 2 hours of our day waiting for a boat when we could have gone out to see some sights. (Payment had been taken an hour before we got on the boat) The experience was not worth 60$ and other companies also take you to the indigenous housing.
We did learn a lot about alligators and the guide was excellent!! Obviously you cannot predict how many alligators you will see, but there were not very many, all in all just a disappointing way to spend...
